Light-out
Chip. Chip. Chip. Chip. Chiiiip.
Done! I'm so done with matchsticks. This was the tenth one that broke, and the fourteenth one that didn't light! The others, a few just showed me a little spark of home, and them went away back to their places, from where they had come from, that is, nowhere.
"I'll kill these matchsticks!" As if that's even possible! I grumbled at my own idiotic annoyance.
I mean, I work and am self-sufficient, yet, I can't like a matchstick!? Are you kidding me? Yea, seems at the moment that's the truth and I don't seem to deny the fact.
"I can't light the candles like this, and it's so effing hot!" I pouted, grumbled all at once, before resting myself on the cold marble on the floor, which was the only cold place.
You know, other than mosquitoes biting the hell out of you, what's the most annoying moment? In mid summers, when there is noway that's there gonna be rain, your house faces a power cut and you are alone at home, with your lighter fuel all out, and you don't know how to light the matchsticks up!
I tried the torch, and fearing that it might blow out on battery I just clicked it back off, lying on the cold floor in my thin top and shorts was bliss, but I couldn't just go get a bath in the fear that the water could run out if the electricity didn't come by the morning.
"What are you doing there!?" His voice echoed in my ears, as I looked up, still lying there, to see him standing, frowning as he looked down at me still only in his towel, and exposing his chest.
Yeah, talk about increasing the hotness in the room, only if I could evaporate, I'd have already been invisible by now then.
"Its cool here, Cayden." I mumbled back at him, as he jerked his hand making some cool soothing water droplets fall on my face. Gosh! I don't even deny, cause I need more of it.
"Go get a bath, it won't run the water out." He said, grabbing his shorts and wearing them, and not bothering to wear something else.
Yes, summers and light-outs are a deadly combo. And when I mean deadly, they are deadly, literally.
"Go wear something, talk about hotness in the room." I chuckled, as he settled down beside me looking at the emergency light that he'd brought out with him.
Cayden had taken it to the washroom for a bath, and we own only one emergency light, go figure.
"Emmy, go get one." He pushed me up, while I just snuggled back to him.
Geez! I should be all sweaty when he smelled and felt to refreshing and cool. How can he even hold me when I'm such a mess? Oh! That's because he's my husband. That pretty much explains that he had seen me in worse.
"You're cool enough for now." I winked at him.
"You are too hot for a summer light-out." He pouted and blew me a kiss on the lips before handling me over the towel and pushing me shamelessly from above his bare chest, as I forced myself up grabbing the emergency light.
As I left through the door, I saw him grabbing the matchstick box and the unlit candle.
Chiiiiip. Psshhh. And the matchstick lit on an blazing orange fire, making his features visible, as I smiled to myself and walked out. Maybe even the matchsticks were waiting for him to light them up in fire.
So much for just a light-out. Phew!
*******
A not to heavy piece, eh? Why always be hot and bothered? :P
Live, let live. That's the moto of life!
p.s. who else hates mosquitoes? I'm a cave-woman when it comes to them. I've tried almost all cruel ways of killing them *evil laugh*
*returns back to being sweet*
