The sun came meandering through the sky to wake those who still hadn't woken up. The halls smelt of freshly baked goods which sent a Christmas atmosphere throughout the palace.

Deliveries of pine trees were beginning to flood into town. Decorations being hung along window sills and icicles being made and hung from roofs. The holiday spirit was in the air. Twas a time for joy and cheer among all.

Jeff was moderating the assembly of the tree in the town square. Ropes tied around all sections as men hoisted the giant tree into position in the middle of the square. Children began forwarding into the square carrying boxes full of decorations it cover the giant tree. Carollers sang softly in the foregrounds, providing a melody for those to decorate to.

Thankfully his one of his jobs involved ladders, and fires. But he could scale the tree with ease a hang an array of tinsel, baubles and candy-canes from the pines branches. Aureylian had special classes for people to come and make their own decorations nearby. Parents and children alike were flocking to see the holiday season be set into full swing.

Now came the tradition. Each year, the king was to scale the tree and place the nether star at the top. This was to signify unison between him and the townsfolk. And to show that they can overcome any challenge.
Chad didn't want to do it yet. Not until his friend was home. He tried putting it off for a few days, but people were becoming more worried as to why there was no star yet.

Chad had to put his sadness beside him and go be with his people. He strode towards the town square, wearing a festive red and white shirt along with his royal attire as usual. Jeff called everyone around the tree and happily handed Chad the star to him. Chad wasn't the best when it came to heights, and he didn't want to seem nervous and ask for help. Not in front of all these people.

Regretfully, he began to climb the ladder and scaffolding to the top of the tree. A platform surrounded the top, to secure the tree. The tradition was happening during sunset, a time when the nether star would flow at its brightest. To his surprise, he found an elf-like figure sitting atop the platform, staring at the sunset.

"Excuse me" said Chad, "but you can't be here right now." He continued. "But you said that you needed help" replied the figure.
"How did you?-" questioned Chad before he was quickly cut off.
"I always know your majesty" joked the voice. The only person Chad new to say those words in such a manner was;
"Sev?" He whispered. "Give this man a prize!!" Exclaimed Sevadus. Chad's face overcame with glee and elation. His Christmas had come early. To see his friend after years of not knowing if where each other were.

Sevadus protected Chad as he placed the star upon the tree branch and saw it glisten in the light. The pair descended the ladder, thanked Jsano and the town for their hard work, and left for the palace to discuss their adventures over dinner.

Twas the week before Christmas, and all through the palace, not a guard could be heard, not even a cat...
