A Thankyou of Kings

"Stop squirming!" She whispered in his ear. "This is important, and you need to look good." She reiterated, once more to the still confused boys.
"Uggggh, why are we even here?!" Said Sevadus, who was annoyed at this point.
"Be quiet Sev, there is a logical reason behind this. It can't be bad, Chad wouldn't do that to us. Would he?" Replied Seth. This made Sev worried. Could Chad really be preparing them for a horrible fate?

The murmuring in the background ceased and all eyes and ears were directed at Chad. "Guests, friends, family. The two men that will shortly be bestowed upon us are two of my greatest friends. I have honoured them both countless times before, but I felt that it needed to be said one final time. Please, welcome my dearest friends, Sir Sevadus and Sir Seth."

The crowd stood and applauded for the men as they were pushed unwillingly from behind a curtain into the limelight. "These men have been the guardians I never had. I left home looking for a new start, and I found something even better" said Chad before he went in for a hug. He was always so sentimental.
"These men have been knighted, but there was something missing. Please step forward Sevadus as kneel." Ordered Chad. Sev stumbled to his knee and swore to the kingdom that he would uphold his new title. Carefully, Chad placed a gleaming circlet atop Sev's head and asked him to rise. "I now present to you, Sir Sevadus the Wise, a man of many talents and many words" Sev stepped back as Chad called forth Seth.

Seth gracefully placed his knee on the ground and bowed his head, in a proper fashion. He too swore an oath to uphold his title and smiled as Chad read aloud his name. "I now grace you with Sir Seth the Just, a man who is kind to all and knows the right of all". The crowd roared as the two men stood still, confused and dazed at the whole experience.

Sev and Seth finally have a chance to confront Chad about the event earlier today. "Why on earth would you do that?!" Announced Sev. "Any kind of forewarning would have been nice Chad" Seth said forgivingly. "It was only way I could ever truly say thank you to you guys. A guy like me can't just say thanks and be done with it!" Chad said jokingly, trying lighten the mood. "Just, warn us next time" Seth said as he placed his hand on Chad's shoulder.

"Sire, I think it's time for you all to return home and rest until dawn." Interrupted Kurt. "Of course, I shall see you to around, until then, goodbye" Chad called as he waved and excused the two men from the palace he called home.
