Chapter 7

Maine'POV
Parking the car and walk to the mall. I dont really know what comes into my mind that i decided to go here at the mall but maybe because im super bored at home.

The familiar sight got me and yes it havent changed a lot after all these years. And i suddenly felt old. Dont know why.

I walk to around thinking kung saan ako pupunta inside the mall i just no idea.

And i decided to go to the bookstore. Maybe grab some med related books or just a random Novel. B'cos its been so long the last time i read Fiction Novels.

I entered the store and walk to the Section where i can find Novels.
"Hm lets see" brushing my hands to the shelf.

I think its been 20 minutes finding a good book and still i haven't got any. Maybe my interest in books just died? Nah just kidding.

And i saw a book entitled "The Love of X" it caught my attention. I pulled it out of the shelf and begun reading the back of the book. (The sort of summary)

Suddenly i felt someone tapped my shoulder i tur n to see who it was and i was shocked when i saw who it was...

Its Camille.

"Maine omy gosh its really you!" She exclaimed

I widened my eyes still in shock state.

"C-Camille Hi" i greeted .

Well Camille is one of my close friend back in High School. I just lost contact to her thats why i havent talk to her in years nor on social medias neither im busy or i just often use it.

"Kumusta kana? Antagal natin di nagkita ah! Ang daya mo!" She blurted and slightly slap my lefy arm.

"Aw. Its hurts." Me

"Oh sorry" she said.

"Nah just kidding." I smiled.

"Di ka parin nagbabago. So who's with ya?" She asked.

"Uh sadly no one."

"I see. I say we take coffee and Try to catch up with each other. That okay wih you?"

"Sure. But let me just pay this" i said showing the boom and my hand.

"Oh right. Tara"

In the Coffee shop

The shop was inside the Mall. Actually its "The Coffee Table"

I think ita new (or just to me)

'Heres your orders ma'am' the waiter said and placed it on our table. Mines just a Mocha frappe and a piece of cupcake.

"So kelan ka pa dumating?" She started.

"I cant remember but just this week" i answered.

"Ah. So bat di ka man lang nagparamdam. I mean duh almost 8 or maybe 10 yrs after mo umalis papuntang New York di na kita nakausap no!" She exaggerate it.

I chuckled a bit "Well sorry bout that. I know u remebered why i decided to go to New York right? And im sorry im just too busy that time."

"Is that so. And New Yorker na ah? English oa more. Pilipit na ba dila mo sa tagalog meng?" She sarcastically said.

I rolled my eyes and shake my head "You and Dean almost stated the same thing. I mean Sorry ulit ikaw ba naman tumira dun ng ilang years" i defended myself.

"Yeah right. So ano balita sayo?"

Ang kulet neto ah. I said in my mind.

"Well Im a Doctor now. Owning an Clinic and yeah thats all nothing fancy" i said.

She widened her eyes.

"What?! Doctor ka? I thought you took Culinary Arts?" Well i almost forgot she didnt know.

And yes i was a Culinary Student before but i shifted to another course when i get to New York which is a Preparatory for medicine.

"Well yes. Change of Plans." Me

She slightly raised her eyebrows "Was that becaise of.."

I know what she will say and No. Its not b'cos of Him. Well more or Less. So before she could finish her sentence i cut her off

"No. Its not." I said.

"Well okay. Ako naman makukwento. Obviously Interior Designer na ako. I have three kids."

And i was in total Shock when i heard that!

"ANOOO?!" Napatagalog tuloy ako.

"Biro lang!" She said.

I sigh in relief.

"Well Im engaged. Wedding will be at the end of the Month."

"Congratulations Cam" i smiled widely.

"Thank you. And oh" she turned and get something from her bag and continued talking "Youre invited. Punta ka ah. Aasahan kita!" She handed me a Wedding Invitation and i accepted it.

"Sure." I opened it and it ahs Crescine-Estrañero Nuptial. Wait what? Estrañero?!

"Dont tell me. Its Rein Estrañero?" It said to her.

She smiling sheepily and just nodded meaning im right. Its Rein.

Rein Estrañero was her ultimate dream boy when were in our first yr in college. He's known at our university that time. He is handsome,Smart and all a girl would want.

"0h my god! Ginayuma mo ba?!" I told her.

"Grabe ka sakin Meng. Nang aano ka e!" She poted. "But anyway i get that a lot"

"But srsly good one tho." I wiggled my eyebrows.

We ate and talked for you knows how long. And still we are..

We were laughing. And telling stories about many events..

"So, mag aattend ka naman ng Reunion natin next week di ba?" She asked with her right eyebrow raised.

My smile slightly faded.
"Oh bout that. I just dont know." I said.

"Well i suggest pumunta ka. After all its been decade na ata since we all got together." She placed her hands over mine in the table and continued talking "Think bout it. Will you? For me and Selene?"

At nangdamay pa.

"I'll think about it. Okay?"

She just nodded.

Am i ready to see them all?
