The ride home went so fast and i found myself crying with happiness infront of my family.

"Surprise! Welcome back!" They all shouted. And yes, they planned a surprise and i was totally surprised.

"Okay. How did you come up with this dramatic comeback? Srlsy guys you made me cry!" Then got into a group hug.

"Anything for you menggay!" My dad said. My heart swealed. "Can this can be more dramatic? I mean were like in a movie. Im hungry!" I shouted i break the hug.

We all sat into the dinning table. And someone covered my eyes with hands. Removing hands and turning to my back there i saw my bestfriend Selena. We've been bff's since diaper days.

I stood up and hugged her very tight. I almost cried again. The last time i saw here was like 2 years ago. "Meng! I miss you so much!" She said. "Miss you more selen!"

We pulled out of the hug and she slapped my shoulder. "Aray naman! Ganyan ka ba maka-miss. Wow! Ang sweet ha?" I told her. "You know, ang daya mo 2 years ka di umuwi e!" She said with a voice like a baby

"*ehem* Girls let eat" my mom said.

Then we all sat in the dinning table.

"So meng, how's life in new york?" My dad asked.

"Its fine. A lot of work as usual. Nahirapan nga po makakuha ng timing para maka-uwi. Y'know patients" i stated. And By the way, I'm a physician. A pediatrician actually.

"Sus! Si ate meng ayaw lang kamo umuwi talaga" my brother nico shouted.

"Shut up Nico." I replied back quite laughing.

After we ate me and my best friend went up to my room. Of course girls thing.

Meng's room

"So meng are you going?" Selena asked. And i furrowed my eye brows in confusion. And suddenly i remebered.

"The reunion?" I asked even alam ko.

"Well yes. Its next week already. So are you coming?" She asked again.

"I don't think so leng. Maybe not. I just wanna spend more time with my family after all its been a long time na di ko sila nakita" sabi ko sakanya.

"But meng, think about it. I know they will understand." She added.

"I just don't feel like it" i told her.

"Or is it just because of.." i cut her off. Cos i know what will she say. I dont wanna hear it.

"No. Its not. How could you come up with that idea?" Sabi ko with matching hawak sa bewang.

"Its the only reason why you dont like to go, i mean c'mon you're already 27 meng."

"And what does it have to do with my age?" I said with sarcasm.

"Fine but just think about it. Okay?" She finally gave up. I win! I win! Kiddin there

"Okay. But just pls help me with this stuff?" I asked her with a puppy eyes. And then she nodded.
