MAINE'S POV

"Fine." Thats just the single word that replied. I don't want to converse with him as much as possible. But of course, i know what he'll feels and i'm no alien with that.

I gained the spirit that will urge me to make the situation lighten for us two.

I took a deep breath and sigh.

"So, how bout you?" I manage yo ask.

He smiled. "I'm fine as well.." he paused for second and continued "Good to see you again, Maine."

I didn't show any signs of emotion.

"Same to you too." I simply replied.

Then suddenly the music changed to a very much familiar song. It was Once In A Lifetime - One Direction.

He smiled. "Do you remember that song?" He asked.

Ofcourse i do you dumb ass. I whispered in my mind. I just shrugged my shoulders.

I raised my eyebrows as if i'm i didn't heared his question.

"P-pardon?" He knows what that word means.

"Uh nothing." He replied.

And we're now back to awkward silience and i just want this aong to end. But damn! The song seems like forever. I was thinking to excuse myself and leave the dance floor.

"Well, uh, would you excuse me." I pulled away from him and turn my back to walk away from him when he pulled my hands making me twirl around facing him again but this time even closer that anyone can see us like were embracing from a certain angle but were not. Actually, i did slamp a lil bit at his chest, knowingly that i'm kinda short. I was a bit shocked about his words.

"Stay. Please just now, stay." Was he begging? And stay? What! He's surreal, really. Stay? I actually couldn't believe he knows that word anyways.

"Richards please, I..." he then interrupt me.

"Meng just for this moment, please?" This time he totally did embrace me.

I dont know what got unto me that i didnt even rejected his presence.

"Yiiiiiiieeeeee!" People around us kept on teasing the two of us.

"Meng, uh, i don't know what to say and i know its such a long time but i want to take this time to say I'm sorry and i..." this time t'was my time to cutt him off.

"Wag dito Alden. Pretend na masaya tayo. Please hindi ito ang tamang panahon para jan"

He sigh and replied. "You're right. Sorry"

After a few minutes the song finally ended and again i was about to walk away when thr two emcee's called the both of us amd this time, sila naman ang pumunta saamin.

They both smiled. "So how it na you guys dance again after a long time? Huh?" He wiggled his eyebrows and i guess he was referring to Alden and the other also handed me the mic.

"Its a blast. I mean its good to be with her, dancing with her again perhaps. And..."

He look over to me.

"You haven't changed meng." Oh really? Well see.

"Why would i?" I answered back. And there i saw all eyes in me.

Shame on you meng.

Smile. Thats all i gave them. "I mean i didn't see any reason for me to change, the fact that you knew me as who i am before amd i wanted to remain with it until now."
