Jack's POV
She snaps back to reality. Her eyes focus on me, and she says,
"So, when are we going to see the Doctor?" I answer,
"Soon. Why didn't you run when the ship landed? You could have. I wouldn't blame you, either." She replies,
"Oh, I could have. But I didn't. Honestly, I don't know why I didn't. I don't even know you. Anyways, let's go see the Doctor!" She's obviously excited, and still, I don't understand why. So we set off to look for him
Calliope's POV
Why didn't I run? I very well could have, but I trust him. I don't know why, I just do. We've been walking for about half an hour, when I spot a blue box resting on a hill. I gasp.
"Captain Jack Harkness, do you see that?! That's him! It's got to be!" Without another word, I run as fast as I can up the hill. I beat on the door to his TARDIS. "Doctor! Doctor! Let me in!" The door swings open and I see him. His hair is brown and messy. His eyes are the colour of rich chocolate. I don't recognize him. He must have regenerated.
"May I help you?" He asks with a puzzled look on his face. I stand up even straighter.
"Do you not recognize me, Doctor?" He simply shakes his head. "Well, to be fair, I don't really recognize you, either." He looks me up and down, and says to me,
"Ah, and, who exactly are you?" I close my eyes.
"Think back to the Time War, Doctor. Think of the life that you saved. The only one." He looks me up and down again.
"Calliope? Is it...is it really you? I feel tears well up in my eyes.
"Yes, Doctor, it's really me." He picks me up in a big bear hug, and I'm sobbing the entire time. "I've missed you. i thought you were dead, Doctor. My Doctor."
