The New Sakae

Chapter 1: Sakae's pov

My heart fills itself with sadness and darkness. Dispare drained down my eyes and all hope was lost. Why am I this way? Because a devil killed my boyfriend.

Akuma didn't laugh at first, he was more confused, as if he was expecting something else. "Well, he died earlier than I thought." He picked up the sword that casted a shadow above me and Hiryu.

I turned around to face him, but I looked at his feet.

"I would kill you, but I want you to hang around for a few days."

My fist clenched. "No!"

"Pardon?"

I looked up at him and yelled, "No, no, no!" With the strength I had in me, I stood up to him, "I'm gonna fight to the death! It doesn't matter if I live anymore! If I win, you'll die. If you win I'll die."

He smirked. His slender cold hand passed the tears out of my eyes and held my chin . "Is that so?"

"Yes!" I slapped his hand off. "I'm not going to run for the likes of you anymore."

His hand hit across my cheek, "How dare you hit my hand! You're my slave, and nothing more. I'll fight you with the sword I killed..." His eyes came into a shock after he looked at my chest.

I looked down as well and all I saw was my coat. I kicked his side since he was distracted. Yet, all he did was frown and slap me to the ground.

"I'm not going to fight you! Now stop!" He looked serious. It's weird that Akuma doesn't wanna fight me no longer. He's hiding something.

"Then kill me!"

"I told you to stop!" He kicked my stomach forcing me to hit a nearby oak tree where I was knocked out.

Sakae. Sakae! My eyes opened to the call of my name. Kasai was carrying me deeper into the forest.

He smiled at me, "Heyo!" From the fight that happened today, he still has many marks. Especially 3 huge scratch marks that stretches from his right ear to his chin.

"What's going on?" I forced myself down.

"I'm taking you to where we hid your sister, since you probably want to see her." He stared into my eyes, puzzled. "Are you..."

"What?" I frowned.

"Your aura is weird, your eyes have changed, your gem is glowing- oh, this isn't good for you..." He pinched my cheeks.

I grew annoyed, "Stop! Idiot!" My hand slapped his hand off.

He chuckled, "I knew it, Akuma was right."

"Don't just hide things from me, bastard!"

"We can't go to your sister." He firmly gripped on my hand and turned around.

I held my ground and pinched his wrist. "Let go!" I said with a firm voice.

"Ouch!" He let go and slapped me across my face, not as hard as Akuma. "Snap out of it! Don't you see yourself turning evil?!"

"Evil...?" My eyebrows raised.

"Yes, the death of Hiryu made you change." His voice grew calm.

"Change how?"

"Your turning into an evil goddess every second." His eyes turned sad, "I don't want to take you to your sister because she can remind you of.... let's just say I don't want you hating me for taking you to her."

"But-"

"Sakae, trust me."

I wanted to see my sister, but he knows more than me. It's best to agree with him. "Fine."

Kasai smiled. I remained angry.

"What?" He asked.

"Why did you let Hiryu die."

"I was dying myself- oh, I forgot to show you the message that he carved in the tree for you!" He carried me and ran in demon speed, which is around 80mph.

"Hey! Wait! Where are you...." The castle grew closer. "I don't wanna go back to that hell hole! Put me down!"

With great strength, Kasai jumped on a tree. "Look!"

I opened my eyes to see that Hiryu carved a message in Chinese characters, also known as Kanji.

"I can't read that, Kasai."

"Why not?"

"I have the education of a 10 year old."

He blinked at me twice, "I learned Kanji when I was 3."

I grew frustrated, "But I'm only human, we learn this at the age of 13 or 14."

"Really? You humans are very dull-"

"Just read it!"

He got scared, " Okay, okay." He read the message to me in a calm voice:
" The sea blue sky turns navy,
The grey moon turns bloody,
The living dies,
All there is to do is cry
Wondering
'Why does it have to end like this?'
As the world collapses around you
As you lose the ones you love
As you seek revenge
As you try to die
The only solution is hope

Tears ran down my eyes as Kasai finished the poem.

"Hiryu is an excellent poet... Sakae, are you okay?" He rubbed my back.

"Don't touch me." I said firmly and looked at him as if I was going to beat him to a pulp.

"Sakae..." His hands slid off.

"How did he know he was going to die? How?"

Kasai nervously smiled, "I uh..."

"And why did you know as well?" I felt myself transform.

"Sakae!" I heard a voice from behind me, "You're still mine for 2 days until I kill you. Let's go."

"Oh, is that the moon?" Kasai hopped out of the tree, "It is! Well, I have to go now. Good b-"

"Stop being such a pain and leave already!" Akuma yelled.

"Kasai!" I yelled, "I will get my answer sooner or later and I will kill you when I do."

Akuma smirked, " She has lost it completely. Leave before you die early. Besides I have to finish the honeymoon."

Kasai looked like he wanted to rip Akuma into shreds. Without letting out his anger, he turned away and left.
