Hermione
Hermione couldn't stop thinking about that night in the Burrow. It had been her first kiss, but that's not why she couldn't stop thinking about it.
She hadn't gotten in touch with Loki since they kissed. The last time she saw him, he was running through a ring of fire. She wrote, but he never responded. It was very strange. Was he as confused as she was? Was it not good? The suspense was killing her.
She was able to take her mind off of things by studying for exams. They may have been in 4 months, but she wanted to pass every exam with and 'O'.
She hadn't told anyone about the kiss. She didn't quite know how to say that. She knew how everyone would react. Ginny would freak out and would start to call Loki "The Boyfriend", Harry would be all like "cool bro", and Ron would be like "I love Lavender", which she didn't really feel like hearing.
It was a cool afternoon in January, and Hermione decided she couldn't handle the suspense any longer. So decided to see if Heimdall would let her into Asgard. So after all her classes were done, she asked Harry if he could borrow his invisibility cloak and Firebolt no questions asked. He agreed, and gave her the cloak and broom, and she put them in her purple bag. She ran down to the cliff, and stood in the center of the burn the beam left in the grass.
"Heimdall," she called. "If you can hear me, I must speak to Loki as soon as possible, so can you beam me up to Asgard? Please Heimdall, I need to see him."
Nothing happened.
"Please, Heimdall."
"Well well," called a voice behind her. She turned around, and saw Malfoy, alone, standing next to an oak. "Calling up to your friend, mudblood."
"You must be either very confident or very stupid to speak to me alone."
"Well, he's not coming, so I have nothing to worry about," he responded, pulling out his wand with his left arm, then putting the wand in his right hand. But while doing so, she could've sworn she saw the bottom of a tattoo on his forearm.
"Are you sure?"
"Very," he said, and he started to approach her.
Suddenly, Malfoy stopped in his tracks, and she felt the gravity around her reverse, and she was getting sucked through space. She landed in the telecharger. She turned around to see Heimdall remove the sword from the stand.
"Hello, sir," she greeted, and started walking toward the door.
"Hello, Hermione. Shall I call for a horse?"
"It won't be necessary," she answered, and she pulled the broom out of her bag, mounted it, and pushed off. She was in the air for awhile until she was over the castle courtyard. Sif was sitting on a bench, cleaning her sword off with a linen cloth.
Hermione descended, and landed on the other side of the courtyard. She dismounted, put the broom back in her bag, and walked toward Sif. "Lady Sif!" Hermione called.
Sif looked up, and was surprised yet to see Hermione approaching. "Hermione, what do I owe the pleasure?"
"Can you bring me to Loki?"
Sif nodded, and led Hermione to his room.
Loki
Loki was busy looking for two books he had gotten for Hermione, Asgardian History, and Asgardian Nature. He got them for her because he felt bad about not speaking to her since they kissed, but he was just so unsure about how he was to talk to her again.
He heard a knock at the door.
"Who is it?" he called through the door.
"Sif," called a voice.
"Come in," he said, and he stored away the books.
The door opened, heard a few footsteps then closed behind him. He turned around to look at Sif. But Sif was not there.
It was Hermione, still in her school uniform.
He looked at her for a moment. "You sound exactly like Sif through a door."
"It was Sif talking," she replied. She sat down on the bed.
"I'm sorry I haven't spoken to you in awhile. I've been busy," explained Loki. However this was a lie, or half the truth, he was indeed busy, but when he had the time, he didn't talk to her by choice.
"I understand..." she began. "Are we going to talk about that night? At the Burrow?"
"If you insist," he replied. He walked over to her and sat on her left.
"Why didn't you say goodbye in person?"
He took a moment to answer. "Because I was unsure about how I was to talk to you?"
"Did you think it would be awkward afterwards?"
"It probably would have."
"What did you think about the kiss?"
"Before I answer, was it your first?"
"It was."
"Then you are naturally good at kissing."
And just like that, the suspense was gone. "Well, I did have a good partner."
"Too bad it was meaningless and forced upon."
"It most certainly wasn't meaningless," she confessed.
He looked at her, and she looked back. "What are you saying?"
She didn't say anything for a moment. Instead, she leaned towards him, kissing him passionately. He returned the kiss, and they split apart.
She looked into his frosty eyes, then rested her head on his shoulder. "I've had feelings for you since that day on the lake at Hogwarts, Loki."
Loki took a moment to find the right words. "I remember that day at Diagon Alley. Your eye was pink because you got punched by a punching telescope. I still thought you were beautiful."
"What are we Loki?" she asked, unsure.
"I don't know, Hermione,"he sighed.
There was a very long pause, lasting well over 5 minutes. They were both trying to figure out the answer to that question. "Are we boyfriend and girlfriend now?" Hermione finally asked.
He thought about if for a moment. "I think so," he finally answered.
Hermione lifted her head, and looked at him. He turned his head. They both smiled, and Loki wrapped his right arm around her neck, kissing her forehead. Hermione grabbed for his other hand.
They were there for quite some time, until Loki had to take her to the telecharger, so she could go home.
It was a good day.
