Hermione

Hermione had attended the funeral, but left before anyone else. She couldn't stand the sight of Rita Skeeter or Umbridge. However she was pleasantly surprised to see Loki waiting for her on the common room sofa. She sat next to him and started crying into his shoulder; to which he wrapped his arm around her, assuring her everything would be okay.

Over the next few weeks, she became herself again, as if nothing happened. She came back stronger; working harder in Dumbledore's Army, read every book she could get her hands on, even practiced the memory charm and countercharm, which was extremely complex for a 6th year student. When Harry asked, she explained that she was going to use the charm on her mum and dad and replace their memories with false identities before they left to hunt horcruxes, so that if they were to be hunted down; the Ministry's job would be much harder to find her, Harry, and Ron.

While Harry wasn't teaching the DA, she took his place, teaching the students spells from books kept in Dumbledore's office, so that need be, they would be prepared for war. Spells included the blasting curse, the crushing curse, and every protection and attack spell she could find.

She also kept busy by creating a vault behind one of the fireplaces in the Room of Requirements, which could only be accessed by inserting the DA coin in the slot, which would be in the vault when you opened it. In the vault contained Peruvian Instant Darkening Powder, some spell books, and portkey that activated when the password(Hanging Tree) was said 3 times, and the portkey would take you to the Safehouse in the United States; to northern Wisconsin. She picked Wisconsin because it was far away and had very similar conditions to Hogwarts grounds.

The Safehouse was the size of the Great Hall. 3-storied(not including the basement and attic), 8 bedrooms stocked with beds and clothes of all sizes, 4 bathrooms, a kitchen with enough food to last them 9 months, and a protection charm all around. The portkey could be used multiple times, so they could come back to Hogwarts. Harry came up with the portkey and safehouse idea, to which Hermione found an old abandoned house in Wisconsin via the Mirror to Any Realm in Asgard. She stocked the house over the span of 10 days.

Loki had been the biggest help to her. He hadn't only helped her cope, he was always there for anyone in the DA who needed help. Hermione was very appreciative of what he was doing for everyone. She had told him many times that he didn't have to do this, but he always responded with "My schedule is always empty. This is actually a good way of entertaining me."

He entered the interior of the castle all the time, with no problems. He always knew the password to Gryffindor tower, so he would come up and sit with her.

Loki

Loki had made an arrangement with Odin. Odin knew something horrible was about to happen in Midgard, so he allowed Loki to live in Midgard until the conflict was over, as long as he went back up to Asgard occasionally, and Loki agreed to this. Odin also promised Loki complete privacy, so no one would watch him.

Loki had met about 80% of the staff at Hogwarts. He met McGonagall first, it was after the funeral. She had entered the common room, and was surprised to see a stranger sitting next to her star student. She asked Hermione who he was, and she told her his name was Loki. McGonagall was suspicious at first, but Loki found a way to convince her he was alright to be on the grounds. He and McGonagall turned out to be pretty good friends.

He managed to find a way to help out every staff member he met. He helped McGonagall monitor the hallways at night, he helped Flitwick and Hagrid rebuild Hagrid's hut, he helped Slughorn produce potions for Madame Pomfrey, etc.

He would spend the night occasionally. He normally slept on the couch, which he didn't have any problem with. He would go to breakfast with Harry, Ron, Ginny, and Hermione on those mornings. He would eat quickly, then he'd help around the castle.

He enjoyed talking to the paintings, he learned a lot of Hogwarts history from them, which he found very interesting. He talked to a few of the ghosts, mainly Nearly Headless Nick and Peeves, the rest of them he found rather disturbing or creepy.

He didn't talk to any of the Slytherins, unless they asked for help. According to what he's seen, most of them were certainly on Voldemorts side, the side he wasn't on. But he wasn't going to be an ass if a Slytherin asked for help by saying no. He seemed to bond well with the Ravenclaws and Gryffindors. He was particularly interested in Luna. She was optimistic and interested in Asgard. They had many conversations over the course of the last month of school.

Once school ended, he rode the Hogwarts Express with them. The train was dead quiet in every car. No one talked, and Loki was comfortable in the situation. At the platform, he walked Hermione to her parents. They were confused when they saw a tall stranger walking next to their daughter.

But Hermione made a good introduction to her parents, and her parents accepted Loki, even though at first they were skeptical about someone from Asgard actually existed. But their daughter was a witch so what did they know?

Loki thought they were wonderful people. However he would love to talk to them more, but he had to return to Asgard. He bid her goodbye, and went back up to Asgard. But before that, she gave him a bag which had the undetectable extention charm on it for when they went horcrux hunting. He had a few things to take care of before he was to go with them. One of which was packing.

Hermione

It was mid-July. She was sitting in the living room after dinner. It was dark, and her parents were telling her about two people they had met in Budapest over tea, Clint and Natasha. She wasn't really paying attention. The next day she leaves for the Burrow, and she had to obliviate her parents. It was going to be very hard for her.

The next day, she walked into the living room, obliviated her parents, convinced them that they were dentists who lost their jobs and wanted to be photographers in Australia. She then left the house, heartbroken. She apparated to the Burrow, where she was greeted by Ron, Loki, Fred, and George. They went inside and got settled. Hermione told Loki about what she did, and Loki assured her it was the right thing to do.
