It would seem that my day was going on forever and it was, I'd never had a slower Tuesday in all my life and still it continued.

I stepped into detention and let out a loud groan when I laid my eyes on no other than Jerky-McDouche-face from this morning. I walked to the far end of the classroom, sat down, put my headphones in and pulled out my copy of 'Huckleberry Finn'.

"I didn't take you for the classic book type" he said from the seat right beside me. It's like I can't escape the guy.

"I didn't take you for the stalker type" I replied not looking over at him but knowing he was close because the Axe body spray he wore emanated from him in waves .

"I'm full  of surprises" he winked.

"And hot air" I mumbled.

He sat there staring at me for a while but given my issue with silence around other people I started talking because he apparently wasn't going to. "See something you like?" I asked, closing my book and placing it on the desk in front of me.

"Well now that you ask" he stretched his arm towards me then pushed me slightly to the side "You're blocking my baby, can't exactly see past that big..... beautiful head of yours" he smirked

"Wow an insult wrapped compliment. Well played Xavier" I smirked at him, encouraging our conversation.

"Wanna go for a ride?" he asked.

"Isn't that a bit cliche? Ditching detention I mean. How often do you hear about people staying in detention until it was over or at least for the entire thing?"

"Well you got me there" he said as he interlocked his fingers at the back of his head, leaning backward and stretched his legs under my desk, getting comfortable "But did you ever think there's a reason they ditch detention?"

"I'm well aware of the reason, look around" I gestured to the sparsely populated classroom "It's a dreadful bore" I said with using a mock British Accent for effect.

He chuckled and continued staring at me, I stared back with a raised brow.

I stood to my feet and picked up my book "On that note" I grabbed him by the hand "Lets go"

We walked to the parking lot and he made a beeline for a black 2013 Chevy Camaro RS. He walked to the passenger side, opened the door and waited for me with a smirk chiseled into his features "M'Lady" he said mocking  the British accent I had used earlier.

"What no bike?" I asked sliding into the car, admiring its sleek leather interior. He walked around to the other side of the car and slid into the driver's seat.

"Nah, bikes kill people" he winked.

"I thought people killed people" I said with no particular emotion in my voice. Suddenly the air around us changed as he tensed and his grip tightened on the steering wheel. "Not a big Romeo Must Die fan" I joked.

He relaxed and breathed a laugh "I'm not a lot of things" he replied.

"Way to create the air of mystery around you. This your way of keeping me interested?" I said grabbing the aux cord attached to his radio.

"So you are interested" He grinned devilishly "It was only a matter of time, not many can resist my charm or my hair" he said with a wink, dragging his hand through his already disheveled beach blonde hair.

I let out a loud 'HA' and continued scrolling through my phone until I found the song I was looking for "Here it is" I said, selecting Amy Winehouse's 'You know I'm no good'. I placed my phone in the cup holder and leaned against the door with my hand out the window.
