Chapter 11

There you were, defenseless as ever, on the ground, chained to the wall. You had been gone for three full days now and nothing new or interesting had happened. Until today. Petra was insulting you, like she usually did when she had gotten to the room you were in, when a loud banging came from the door upstairs.

"Petra Ral! Open the door this instant." Petra huffed and exited the room, walking up the stairs and to the door. You didn't hear anything for awhile until...

"Get your filthy hands off me!" You could hear Petra yell before the door upstairs slammed shut.

"Alone once again." You mumbled. You looked around the room once again, like there was really anything else to look at except the walls. Your eyes slowly closed as the sleep that you hadn't been getting took its toll on your body.

~Three hours later~

That smell... You opened your eyes to see a fire in front of you. In fact, the whole room seemed to be on fire. Your body woke up immediately and you tried to move your hands, but they were still chained to the wall. You started to breathe heavily.

What were you supposed to do? No one was here to save you and all you could do was sit here on the ground and burn. You tried to scream out for help, but nothing came out. You noticed that your throat was as dry as the atacama desert, one of the driest places in the world. You looked down at the ground and awaited for the fire to reach you.

Third Person P.O.V

No one had noticed that a fire was going on in the basement of Petra Ral's home until the smoke was strong. The firemen were called as soon as possible and Levi and Hanji were one of the first people to be there. They had suspected that (F/N) would have been down there. As the firemen came out, they had a girl in their arms, her (h/l) (h/c) hair covered in the smoke remnants. Her clothes were also blackened, along with her (s/t) skin.

She was rushed to the ambulance right away and soon rushed to the hospital. Levi and Hanji followed the ambulance to the hospital after telling the police to arrest Petra Ral as soon as they found her. Once at the hospital, they had to wait awhile for (F/N) to be put in a room and checked on before they could visit her.

By the time they could, she was unconscious and peacefully laying in the bed. After Hanji had seen her, she left without saying a word, leaving Levi alone with her. He looked down at the girl and sat down in a chair that was near her bed.

"Please, come back soon..." He mumbled.
