After careful consideration, he suggested Caspian explore jobs in administration and governance, given his past experience as a king.
After providing Caspian with an address belonging to a friend who could offer employment, Professor Kirke expressed his hope that Caspian would seize the opportunity.
Grateful, Caspian pledged to make the most of the chance given by the professor.
After visiting the provided address, Caspian met Professor Kirke’s friend, who, after some relevant inquiries, offered him an administrative position. This marked Caspian’s initiation into the American workforce.
As summer holiday approached, Professor Kirke learned of Susan’s imminent return. Professor Kirke, the excellent matchmaker that he was, planned to let both Susan and Caspian meet over dinner at the Pevensies’ residence.
He was sure that Caspian would have a better chance to conquer Susan’s parents as well if he could be introduced as his friend instead of as a Narnian King.He planned to introduce Caspian as a promising young man to Susan’s parents so that it would be easy for Caspian to ask for Susan’s hand in the future.
Professor Kirke expressed his desire to catch up on his friends’ lives over dinner with the Pevensies and told them that he would be bringing along a friend.
