Professor Digory Kirke was quite surprised when King Caspian introduced himself as the King of Narnia. Even though he knew about Narnia, he never imagined that a King of Narnia would walk out of his wardrobe one day.

He found it hard to believe that the Narnia that he visited as a child still truly existed. Even though the four siblings described their experience in Narnia, it was quite different to see someone belonging to Narnia with Narnian clothes.

You can’t blame the professor for being surprised. After all, King Caspian, in his eagerness to find Susan, set out as he was dressed. He had on his armor and had a sword in his hand. It looked like he was prepared for war, but the only war he had to face now was war for his lover's heart.

After calming down, Professor Kirke gets to know about Caspian’s love story and how he travelled from Narnia to Earth in search of his lover. Professor Kirke was moved by the efforts of Caspian after hearing his love story. So he decided to help him.

Because one thing was sure. King Caspian could never achieve anything in this unknown world without someone to help him. He stood out like a sore thumb with his kingly attire and mannerisms.

Professor Kirke told Caspian that he would help Caspian to find Susan. But he warned him that he needed to adapt to this world first to have at least a slight chance of succeeding.

Caspian was grateful to have someone to help him out in this unfamiliar world. He was worried about finding Susan on his own, but now that someone offered to help him he was quite relieved and felt grateful to the old man who reminded him of his tutor.
