~Omgchad's POV~

"Chad! Could you pick someone to go into the caves with you to get some stone? We need more stone bricks," Guude asked as I finished up the last of the wood I had in my hands.

"Yep," I said, popping the 'p'. "By the way, we need more wood too." Guude nodded then proceeded to look for someone else. I walked over to Sev, who was lying down on the floor, beside a table. What a lazy guy. Well maybe he was just tired. "Sev!" I yelled, causing him to knock his head on the table like how he did with the bookshelves the other day. I did not bother to hold in my laughter like I did the other time, finding it extremely funny.

"I hate you," Sev glared, rubbing his head.

"I know. You're just jealous that I am better than you," I replied, smiling to myself for being so funny. Sev let out a scoff, rolling his eyes but letting out a smile nonetheless.

"What do you want?"

"Accompany me into the cave will you? Guude said we needed more stone," I explained. He nodded and grabbed some supplies, putting on his armour and holding out a pick. I led the way, my footsteps light and for some reason, I was in a good mood.

I took a step into the cave that has been explored a few times, knowing exactly which path to take to get to a dead end with loads of stone to dig through. I turned around mid way to see Sev lagging behind, descending down onto the cave slowly. I crossed my arms and tapped my foot, showing some impatience at his slowness. I decided to randomly mine some stone while waiting, not wanting to waste time.

"Is this where we are digging?" Sev questioned suddenly, startling me a little. I shook my head before leading him to the correct spot that has been allocated for mining stone specifically.

It was a big room with mining strips that led to more rooms. It was like a large network of rooms and paths. To mark the correct path back, we would put signs, just so that we would not get lost. "We can start mining here, slowpoke," I teased. Sev just gave me a light slap on the arm and chucked before following me down a new path just created a day ago.

"Start digging a room as big as the main one and from there we should be able to branch off to get more stone. I have no idea how much Guude needs but let's just mine as much as we can," I said.

"Okay," Sev replied, mining a stone block. "Hey. Remember that time..." We laughed at shared memories as we mined, taking turns telling stories about ourselves or other Mindcrackers. Sometimes, we grew quiet, but we would burst out laughing again because of the scenes replaying in our heads.

"Sev!" I yelled, getting his attention. "Come here!" he ran into the long tunnel I had just created, asking me why he had to come. "I found a cave. Want to explore?"

"Why not?" He replied, and with that, we jumped in and started lighting the place. The jokes and stories never stopped despite us running around and being tired. As a matter of fact, it was these funny moments that kept me alive and gave me energy to go on.

[Guude] Chadwick! Where r u?

[OMGchad] Exploring a cave with Sev.

[Guude] We need u to get back here with whatever u have.

[OMGchad] k

My pendant fell back into its place and became lifeless once again, ending the tiy conversation. "Let's go," I said, pointing to the exit. However, a wave of mobs stood in our way, almost making me jump in shock. There were creepers, and zombies, noting we could not handle to be honest. Sev and I sliced through all of them, making a dash for the exit. Where on earth did they come from?

We entered the mining systems and trouble was there waiting for us. This time, skeletons were included too, along with one or two wither skeletons. I ran for it. we both did. Only cutting those in our way into half, we rain for our lives, the loud clanking of bones just behind. Every room we entered only increased the number of mobs behind our backs.

"Sh*t!" Sev yelled. I turned to see an arrow stuck in his ankle, blood seeping out.

"Come on Sev, Just a little more," I encouraged, putting an arm under his to support him as we continued to escape. Occasionally, I turned back to kill a few mobs, hopeful that It will slow them down. Even so, we were hit every now and then, bruises covered my body as an arrow stuck out of my shoulder, making every movement almost unbearable. Sev however, was in a far worse condition. How dumb was I to not bring a potion or golden apple. About three arrows stuck out from his body, making his armor tinted with blood. Clearly, he had a black eye and could barely limp quickly but still, he carried on strong.

Finally we got out, the building site small but visible in the distance. We ran, or limped, for it. I yelled out for the others but we were still too far away to be heard. 'Please let us live. Please let us live.' I thought. Just as the guys could hear my yells a witch came out of nowhere, splashing me with a potion for harming.Sev jumped in the way, the potion hitting him instead of me. Damn it Sev! His body went limp just as Beef killed the witch and moved with the rest to kill the rest of the mobs. I picked up Sev and dragged him back, using what little strength I had left.

"Sev!" I said, shaking him, hopping he would awaken. "Sevadus! Don't you dare play some sick trick on me!" My voice grew louder and louder with every word, my heart beating faster and faster.

"What happened?" Pause asked, kneeling down beside me and checking for a pulse. I explained how mobs were waiting for us in every room, and as I finished my story, I could see Pause shaking a little. "Chad... He's... Sev... I'm sorry."

I felt as if my world crumbled as he said those words. Drops of tears streamed down my face as I let go of Sev's lifeless body. Both my best friends are gone. Sev was gone, because he saved... Me.

~Sevadus's POV~

I woke up on a cold hard floor, my head pounding in pain and muscles sore. "Sev. Sev," Someone whispered in my ear. I sat up, my eyes looking around. I was in a dark cell, behind bars.

"I told you to get Chad you idiots!" Herobrine yelled in the distance. I turned around and there they were... My friends. They were in a terrible state, worse than the last time I was them, especially Aurey, who was probably crying.
