An obnoxious family

So here's the third chapter...sorry for the delay!!

Chapter 3: An obnoxious family

Winter had set in at its full force. Chilly gusts of wind blew now and then which traced intricate patterns on one's skin. The sun brought joy to people of Magnolia in the afternoon and the nights were always an icy cold.

Gray and Juvia had bought a two story-ed cottage a little away from the heart of Magnolia town. Juvia was smitten by its beauty at the very first sight.

Gray was sitting on the sofa, his fingers playing idly with her hair while Juvia lay down with her head on his lap, reading a book with rapt attention.

Gray let his hand slid down from her hair to her neck and tickled her. Her laughter echoed in the warm room and pulled the strings in his heart.

"Gray-sama!!!!!!!!" Juvia shrieked, still laughing as Gray shattered her concentration by tickling her sides.

"L-Let Juvia r-read- Oh!" Juvia exclaimed , as her book fell down" S-Stop it!!" She twisted and turned, with her legs kicking her air. With one swift movement, Gray pulled Juvia into a warm embrace.

"Juvia still wonders how" she said, her finger tapping her chin "How, could ignorant Gray-sama be so so sweet and romantic all of a sudden?"

" I was never an open book" Gray said, fixing his eyes on the burning fire in the fireplace" And I was never the romantic one...you were the one taking the bold steps.....Maybe you brought out the other side in me?" he finished with a crooked grin.

"Is this a dream!!!??!" Juvia squealed, blushing with her hands cupping her cheeks.

"Nope. This isnt a dream. I fell in love with my stalker and I'm marrying her. That is the infinite truth" he said in a matter-of-fact tone" Stalker" 

"Kyaa!!!" Juvia squealed and hid her face in embarrassment, diving deeper into the crook of his neck.

Suddenly there was aloud knock on the door.

Juvia looked up and after thinking for awhile, she suddenly spoke up" Is this...?" and she ran to open the door.

" LYON-SAMA!!!" her voice came.

Lyon sama?

LYON SAMA?!!!!

Gray scrambled to his feet and rushed to see the unacceptable face of the uninvited guest.

Lyon had a happy expression on his face which soon turned into disgust  when he saw Gray.

"Ano..." Juvia said nervously" Do not be mad at Juvia...Juvia invited Lyon-sama today."

"YOU DID?!!!"

"Juvia thinks that Lyon-sama should know about us too Gray-sama."

"Know what about you?" Lyon asked, completely blank, wondering why Gray was in Juvia's house( that too, half naked as always) 

" WELL, WE ARE GETTING MARRIED" Gray huffed, with a little smug smile.

" Don't give me that look , bastard." 

Lyon ignored Gray. " Juvia-chan how could you?"

Juvia flinched at the 'chan' and leaned across the table to pat Lyon's arm and said "Erm....well, Lyon sama...you are getting what you  wanted..." she laughed nervously "Juvia is going to be a part of your family...that's what you wanted right...Almost?"

Lyon looked up to stare at Juvia. She had interpreted her want in a terribly wrong way. By family he had meant as his loving, devoted wife—

" You are going to be a Juvia's brother -in-law! Family! See!" Juvia's voice trembled "No?!"

—and here he was, going to be his beloved Juvia's brother in law?!!

The atmosphere in the dining room was uneasy. Lyon was sitting opposite to Gray and Juvia. The sight of their intertwined fingers brought a dull ache to his heart.

" Juvia-chan, did you always consider me as your brother?"

Juvia opened her mouth to speak, but was cut off by Gray who said " No, you filthy cockroach, I did."Gray turned away his face, embarrassed by the words that tumbled from his mouth. He called Lyon his brother?! 

" Dont go fantasizing too much...I said that because Ur was like a mother to me...so you..." Gray tried to explain with a blush on his face.

" Yeah I get that, stripper" Lyon grumbled, embarrassed. " Anyway, conngrats buddy".
Gray nodded gravely.

Juvia's eyes softened at the heartfelt exchange.

She clapped her hands and said " Well, everything is settled now!!!!"

Lyon couldn't miss the happiness in her eyes. She loved that bastard Fullbuster crazily. Well, if she was happy, then he must live with it, even though it broke his heart.

" So you promise you won't shriek  'I object!' at the wedding?" Gray asked with narrowed eyes.

" I'm not moronic like you."

" Oh you are. You are a moronic piece of shit."

" WHAT DID YOU SAY?!!!!"

And the fight began again.

Juvia's rested her chin on her fingers and smiled, 
" Juvia's got an obnoxious family."
