Chapter 9: Anger Conquering Me!

So... 5 years has passed...

It was still the same...

Not to mention, George has been acting a little bit weird...

Why? He always go out of the basement at night... Then comes back again when the sun is about to rise...

*Sigh.... There's no choice, he didn't pick a vampire life that he has to hide from the sun...

So, I followed him one night. Then, I came to this place filled with vampires. Since George have spoken a lot about "vampire protection", he said I should spray my whole body with peppermint spray in order to cover my scent...

What can I say? My boyfriend's hot, kind and caring.

So... I saw him with this girl....

God, the vampire girl was more prettier than me...

And then, it hit me...

HE WAS CHEATING FROM ME ALL THIS TIME???

It hurts... :(

So... I pulled myself closer to them and then... My anger started to overcome my conscience...

"You didn't told me your "girlfriend", George?", I said, starting the conversation...

George's eyes widened. He knew he was in trouble....

Gulping his own saliva, he replied, "Actually, we're not...."

"Uhm, he's already my boyfriend.... This is our "vampire engagement party"... So, back off, human...

Sh*t! Who does she think herself is, God???

I ran offwards the party place.... Gosh, I fell from his pranks... After all that we've been through... This is what I get??

I was filled with anger, or I still am...

"Wait", a hot voice called from my back. It was George, I can tell... Also, I can hear his "soon-to-be-fiance" was calling his name while chasing him as well.

A cold hand grabbed my shoulder. I tried to let go, but God, he was too strong for me...

"I'm sorry..." was only George's reply.

Then, I started to yell at him like I'm a boss or a teacher or something. "Sorry? Is this what I get after protecting you to my fellow vampire hunters? Not to mention, Jimmy, who was so mad at you for killing his twin sister... God, what were you thinking, George? That I'm just  a worn-out toy you could just play with?", I paused. Looking at my wrist watch, 12:00 was stated at the clock's hands. I smiled, tears fell from my cheeks...

"Oh, look, George, for the very 1st time, as my boyfriend, you broke my heart, EXACTLY ON MY 18th BIRTHDAY!"... His eyes felt sorry for me, but I wasn't falling from his pranks anymore... I was done with it...

Suddenly, George remembered something... It was The Chosen One's birthday! He told me that The Chosen One and I has the same birthday together... 

At the same time, something had gone crazy in my head... God, I could hear shreaking sounds all over the place. I started to cover my ears.

George looked at the surroundings. Leaves has floated around the three of us, including his fiance. Then, out of nowhere, Jimmy and Isabella showed up!

"Give up, vampire!", Jimmy said. Isabella was raising her gun at George's fiance.

This is where it ends, huh? George, breaking my heart, exactly on my birthday....

Suddenly, I felt cold like a vampire...

Wait a minute... What's happening to me?

Am I The Chosen One? No, it cannot be... Is it possible?

Then, I remembered. I was turning 18 like The Chosen One, which we celebrate our birthdays today... My scent was rare among humans, just like how George described it. Then, as I am 18, shreaking sounds and unusual happenings were coming out of nowhere...

Was it possible?

Uncontrollable, I tried to opened my eyes. George read my mind, and passed it among the others...

I, Kiana Monique Clemente, is verified as THE CHOSEN ONE...

Run... I signaled all the people around me...

George was only left behind... Isabella, Jimmy and George's fiance ran like children from a shaking building caused of some earthquake... Do I look like one? Anyaway, he was drawing his hand closer to me, like he was a scared little boy at some made-up monster...

I ran. God, I am fast. I've never ran like this...

Then, I got to the next town. Hiding in another basement... (What? George and I afford these... We both have the key...), I cried....

Anger conquering me, George cheated on me and had already a fiance, then I even knew it on my 18th birthday, I cried....

At the top of my lungs, I screamed...

George Mr. Mid Reader, what did I do this time for you to cheat me? I am now much stronger than you, finally... You'll receive damn tickles from mestarting tomorrow...
