Loving me is like a rose. I am good to admire from a distance but come too close and the thorns around my mind and heart will split you apart in the most precious way. Loving me, starts out beautiful and fragile. Over time you will see my layers, the petals of my "beauty" will shrivel and fall away until there is nothing but a stem left. Your love cannot save me, so you mind as well save yourself. When you see me from across the room and every muscle in your body is yearning for you to come over and say "hi" don't. Admire the twinkle in my eyes from a distance. Smile at the way I propel my hair over my shoulder from the door frame you lean against.
