THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE FALLING IN LOVE WITH A GIRL WHO WRITES:
1. She will tell you she loves you more than anything but she will never love you more than when she pulls out a pen (preferably blue) and scribbles away at the pages for hours getting lost in the universe of her mind. Only to reemerge and look at the work of art before her. One she didn't realize she was creating until it was staring back at her. One that she mothered through each word until it was a masterpiece one that is completely hers.
2. Do not get angry when there are times she cannot voice her emotions. There is a reason she is a writer. She writes because the connection she shares with the pen and paper is stronger than the one she has with her own tongue.
3. Do not be insulted if she does not let you read her writings. They aren't for audiences to clap for or for you to pity. These works of pure magic have been casting spells over her broken heart for years. The pages of a notebook crinkling from the weight of the ink flowing through them are her lullabies. These words were the strong arms holding her safe at night long before you were a character in her novel.
4 She is a strange creature that fully thrives off of pure caffeine. Accept it.
5. She has the largest vocabulary of anyone you know but you will never see the word sleep in her dictionary for she dreams best when she is wide awake, a Calvary of pens by her side as she stares at the blank page.
6. Do not make the mistake of claiming her as your own. She belongs to the words. You're nothing more than a supporting role in her story.
7. Do not tell her what she does is not art. She can look at the lines of a blank page and see an entire world begging to be written to life and to me? That's the purest form of art there is
