I'm sorry is quite possibly the worst phrase in existence. It represents the continuous times we've failed somebody. All the times we have fallen short of their expectations but more than that it represents the pain we have inflicted on another. We as a society have torn someone down so often we have shaped a phrase to express our guilt. In theory this could be an idea of brilliance if only it weren't for the utter uselessness for it. Two words cannot take pain away. An apology cannot cure the venom your words injected into my now poisoned bloodstream. There is no forgive and forget for the abandonment you left to tuck me in at night. There was no warm embrace from a pair of loving arms. It was replaced by the cold kisses of disappointment you left in your wake
