((Ryan's P.O.V.))
My whole mind and body was on edge with anxiety, and I couldn't stop fidgeting. Pushing my glasses up back up onto the bridge of my nose after they slipped down even slightly, always messing with my mess of dark wavy hair, trying to make it appear even slightly tamed, picking at my nails, tapping my fingers, chewing on my lip, tapping my foot, bouncing my knee, fixing my favorite dark flannel shirt...
You name it I was doing it.
I kept waiting, checking my phone every few seconds to check the time, almost hoping that I would magically transport a half an hour ahead in time.
God this waiting is killing me...
The only thing even remotely interesting is... the newfound colors I'm seeing...
Okay only four, but still.
That sharp, clear crystalline blue of his eyes... that neon Batman yellow; and now a warm, welcoming orange color and a deep, dark green.
I glanced at the time again on my phone; twenty more minutes...
I should start walking.
I stood and quickly stretched, cracking my knuckles and groaning softly as I started shuffling out of my room, my feet sliding over the hardwood flooring.
Lazily, I picked up my old, beat up converse and slid them on, picking up my discarded sweater from the couch and sliding the soft fabric on.
I picked up my keys from the coffee table and smiled, walking towards the door, light on my feet.
My hand rested on the handle and turned it, swinging open the door before locking the deadbolt and closing it behind me.
I then turned on my feet and broke into a run, my feet flying beneath my torso as my long legs carried me over the ground.
And I noticed something new... Some tufts of grass... Are that dark green I mentioned before.
I smiled, then glanced up at the sky, seeing streaks of warm orange in the dusk sky.
Smiling even wider, I ran faster, my breath leaving my lips in short, excited pants.
I covered ground quickly, making it to the familiar hill in almost record time.
Still early, I noted, humming and jogging up the hill. I reached the tall, proud oak and placed my hand on it's rough, hard bark, still smiling like an idiot.
Then I reached up, grabbing a low branch and hoisting myself up easily, scaling the tree with swift, familiar movements until I reached a large branch.
I carefully sat on it, my legs dangling off the tree as I waited.
And waited....
And waited......
I tried to stay optimistic. Maybe he's just running late or... He had to do something first! I told myself, smiling weakly.
More time passed, and my heart started to sink in my chest.
Maybe... He forgot?
Maybe... Something happened?
I bit my lip and sighed softly, slowly getting more and more discouraged with every passing second.
I glanced back up through the leaves of the tree, seeing that the warm, welcoming orange of the sky was slowly fading away into the night... Becoming darker and darker...
Suddenly a voice hit my ears, "phew... M-made it... Huh...? Looks like he's not here yet... Shit."
I looked down and grinned, my mood instantly lifting as I saw the blonde standing at the bade of the tree, seemingly catching his breath.
I chuckled silently and dropped from my pearch above his head, landing with a heavy thud as my feet met with the earth.
He squeaked in surprise and flew around, his pretty blue eyes wide.
I chuckled. "Hi."
He relaxed and glared at me, huffing. "Jesus give me a heart attack, why dont ya?"
I laughed slightly harder, "sorry."
He smiled that perfect, sweet smile of his and looked at me, then at the tree in wonder. "Have you seen the leaves...? They're so beautiful..."
I followed his eyes to the leaves of the tree, then shook my head. "No... But I bet they're not the only beautiful thing here..." I murmured, looking at the pale haired boy.
He glanced over at me, and smiled shyly, his cheeks growing darker.
I stepped closer to him, and placed my hand on his flushed, warm cheek and smiled, looking at him.
Then... A new color started to fade in... Several actually.
His skin... It shaded from a pale grey... To a warm, slightly tanned flesh colour...
And his hair. It was a soft yellow, growing darker in some places like natural low-lights.
I looked at him, he was even more beautiful in color...
I found myself drawn closer to this living price of art... Our faces slowly drawing closer and closer...
So close I even felt his soft, nervous breath, and I'm sure he could feel mine as well.
Our eyes closed as our lips brushed softly, and sparks of static electricity was exchanged between us.
I smiled softly, and closed the distance, gently pressing my lips to his; feeling his soft, gentle skin press against my own as our lips molded together.
He started to shyly kiss back, even more sparks shooting down my spine and through my nerves.
I wrapped my arms around his waist and pulled him closer, my other free hand resting on the base of his neck.
His own arms curled around my neck and he pressed himself closer to my body, our chests pressing together so that I could feel his fluttering heartbeat.
Eventually, we pulled away hesitantly, our breathing coming in short, excited breaths between us as we kept each other close.
"Felix...." I whispered, staring into those beautiful eyes of his.
"R-ryan..." He breathed back, his face flushed with a new color; a soft, gentle pink.
Blush.
His eyes searched my own and he whispered shyly, "so does this mean....?"
I smiled, pressing my lips to his again, "if you want it to be, then yes."
He nodded shyly and smiled, closing his eyes and leaning his head on my chest, still clinging to me as he relaxed.
I smiled widely and kissed his forehead, then looked up, gasping slightly.
The whole sky.... Shaded with beautiful, soft sunset colors... Pinks... Oranges... Scarlets... Reds...
It was beautiful.
I then glanced at the tree, seeing that the leaves had also came into color, mimicking the sunset painted across the sky.
I blinked, then smiled warmly.
So this is what he was mentioning before...
I looked down at the swede in my arms and kissed his hair, humming softly.
I'm so glad you're my soul mate, Felix...
Thank you, for existing...
