Limey~
((Felix's P.O.V))
I shoved my hands into my pockets as I walked down the cracked sidewalk, my worn converse carrying me along.
I glanced around, and noticed I was near Ken's house. I might as well stop by and pay him a visit, we haven't talked in a couple days...
I took a left at the next intersection and trodded to his house, noticing it was a soft yellow color on the exterior. A happy color.
Walking up to the porch door, I rapped my knuckles on the metal door and waited; soon enough the bearded male answered, opening the door with a grin. "Felix!! I was beginning to think you'd forgotten about me!"
I chuckled and looked at the brunette, "nah man I've just been busy."
He huffed and rolled his eyes, "sleeping maybe. Anyway! Come in! I have someone for you to meet!"
I raised an eyebrow at Ken, my suspicions rising as I walked into the living room. "Who exactly?"
He simply smiled innocently, "you'll see."
Then he turned on his heels and walked into the next room, leaving me to feel awkward in the living room.
I bounced on the balls of my feet as I let my mind wander a bit, and I found myself thinking about a certain brunette. I smiled, humming as I thought about seeing him after he got out of work.
I exhaled, letting a small puff of air pass my lips as I reminisced being in his warm welcoming arms and his soft, cologne hinted scent. There's nothing more soothing then the smell of the one you love.
Just as I was coming back to reality, I heard Ken again. "Alright Felix! I want you to meet the lovely Marzia!!"
I turned to face him, and saw a short, rather cute brunette standing beside him, a small polite smile on her painted lips.
She fixed her paisley skirt and held her hand out to me, "it's nice to meet you Felix."
I took her smaller hand in mine and shook it crisply, "it's nice to meet you too, ma'am."
That's when I saw it, the way her cheeks flushed and how her eyelashes fluttered.
He was setting us up.
I pulled my hand back and looked at Ken, maintaining a calm smile. "Ken can I talk to you for a second? Privately?"
He nodded, then looked at the girl and grinned, nudging her with his elbow. He then stepped towards me and led me away from her, looking at me with a smug grin. "So you like her right? Feel any connection?"
I exhaled before saying in an undertone, "Ken stop..." I kept my voice serious.
He paused for a second, "what...? Felix?"
I looked at him, "fine it's time I told someone... I have someone Ken. I don't need you setting me up with anyone."
"Oh? Who's the lucky la-"
"Guy." I cut him off mid-word.
He stopped, and his eyes widened a bit. "Excuse me...?"
"I'm dating a guy, okay? And I'm happy with him."
"Felix. You're the straightest one out of all of us, how the holy fucking are you gay?"
"Maybe I just am okay?"
"Felix listen to yourself, you aren't gay!"
I looked at him dead in the eyes, my own turning a bit cold. "Drop it Ken, I'm going home."
He grabbed me by my wrist as I turned, and pulled me back, "tell me who he is and why."
That's what I heard Marzia peep out, "I'll... step into the other room. I shouldn't be hearing this..." I glanced over to see her quickly leaving the living room, her long hair shifting as she walked.
I exhaled before looking back at Ken, "Ryan Terry okay?? It just... happened. Now drop it."
He raised an eyebrow, "you mean that dork at the comic book store? How the fuck did that happen?"
I narrowed my eyes, "it just did okay?"
He chuckled a bit, "wow I thought your standards were hig-"
I gripped him by the front of his shirt and balled my fist, "stop right there. Now we've been friends for a long time, right? That doesn't mean I won't beat the shit out of you for talking shit about who I love okay? Now shut the fuck up and go find your own fucking soul mate!"
I gasped, then covered my mouth, dropping my hold on his shirt and taking a step back. He blinked at me, then his face dropped. "He's... your fucking soul mate?"
I bit my lip then exhaled, standing up straight. "Yes he is. The soul mate principle is real, and I can see color now."
He looked at me in bewilderment, then his eyes turned hard. ".... get out, Felix...."
I didn't even bother reporting, I turned on my heels, and walked right out the door, not stopping to think about what's just did. Not stopping to think about what might happen now.
I didn't stop until I found myself back on my street, my hand on the doorknob to my house.
I stepped inside and closed the door, then collapsed to my knees, fear shooting through my veins like ice. My hands started shaking and I could feel my heart racing.
What's going to happen to us...? I can't lose him. I can't. I fucking can't. But I fucked up again. I gave us away.
I just need Ryan here...
