~~ Felix's P.O.V.~~
After I left the comic book store, my stomach was churning and undulating, my mind racing a million miles an hour at what had occurred.
That Ryan... Was the one i was spiritually attached to... The one that I was built for.
And I have to say, I couldn't be happier.
I sighed happily and remembered how his eyes had gleamed with that beautiful color, even in the dim lighting of that back room they seemed to almost glow...
I smiled and let out a soft, breathy chuckle, almost forgetting what I was doing in the first place.
Oh yeah! Ken! Shit I forgot.
I broke out into a sprint, running as fast as my feet would carry me to the park, turning on the corner and finally reaching my destination.
I slowed and began gasping for breath, seeing Ken up ahead. "I'm here! H-hey Ken!" I gasped out, walking up to the bearded male.
He raised an eyebrow and rolled his dark eyes, "Jesus Felix what the hell took you so long?!"
After catching my breath I looked up, grinning. "Something ama-"
Wait.... Should I tell him...? Should I tell him that I found my so-called 'soul mate?'
He looked at me, "what?"
"Um... I'll.... Tell you later. Anyway what did you wanna talk about?"
Ken's eyes suddenly lightened and a smile etched onto his lips. "So I met this girl..."
Oh I see where this is going now.
I rolled my eyes and leaned against a nearby tree, huffing softly. "Name."
"Mary."
"Occupation?"
"Waiter."
"Any trace of...?" I asked, raising my eyebrows.
He pursed his lips and shook his head. "Sadly no... But hey, that's just a myth anyway. Nothing to have faith in, right Fe?"
I pursed my lips and smiled slightly. "Yeah.... J-just a myth..." I mumbled, chewing on the inside of my cheek and leaning against the tree even more.
Ken glanced at me, then hummed. "So tell me, have you found anyone yet?"
I looked at him and bit my lip, casting my eyes down. "No."
He smirked, then clapped a hand on my shoulder. "Well come on you idiot! Here, I'll hook you up. Mary has this friend and I think you'll like her..."
My heart froze.
I already found him but... I can't say anything...
I shook my head quickly. "No its okay, Ken! Dont bother her!"
He simply ignored me and tapped his bearded chin. "Y'all would be cute together. It's gonna happen, Felix. Can't stop me."
I groaned in exasperation and pinches the bridge of my nose.
Well fuck.
Ken grinned, "well, I should go talk to her. I'll see ya soon Fe!"
"See ya..." I mumbled as he walked off through the park.
I sighed and ran a hand through my hair. I really didn't want to even see this girl, I've found my soul mate. I dont need anymore posers.
I looked up, and caught a flash of a new color.
A fall leaf...
It was... Beautiful. A bright crimson...
I walked forward slightly and reached up, plucking the leaf from the light, September breeze. Holding it up to my eyes in awe.
I think I'm finally truly grasping what I was missing...
Color... Is more beautiful than any shade of gray or black.
It had complexities, it had shades, it was...
Different.
I smiled and looked down at the leaf again, then let it go; watching as it fluttered down to the grass and landed lightly.
Then I noticed something amazing...
A majority of the fallen leaves... All turned that brilliant crimson...
Some duller than others. Some with different designs... All different.
I looked up at the tree, seeing even more of the crimson.
I smiled happily and chuckled softly.
"So this is what fall looks like..."
