cigarette and you

Hands trembling as I hold the cigarette,
I light up my lighter and start a small fire.
I light it up and take a puff,
And my breathing evens out.
I breathe in the air
Cool and crisp,
And watch my breath as the warmth connects with the cool.
And I thought,
That's beautiful.
I stood amazed as I realized,
Two opposites coming together, making something entirely different.
And the more I thought, the more my mind wandered.
And somehow my mind drifted to you.
You with your smirky laugh and you with your dorky smile, that I know memorized.
You, the person with my heart around your fingers,
You who I completely fell for.
Yeah you, you know who but just choose to look the other way.
Then I realize as I smoked the last of the cigarette,
You are the same, the things go that hold me together,
Are the things that come to an end.
