"Watch yourself, now," I tell Kayden as we walk up the stairs and into the apartment.
"I love you," he says with a smile.
"I can't believe they doped him up on Laughing Gas..." Teddy teases. "Just get him to bed and come play Mario with me."
I walk into the bedroom and lay him on the bed. When I turn around, he pulls me by my waist onto his lap.
"Don't leave me," he tells me. "Stay."
"You're high and you want to have sex." I say. "No, now go to bed." I kiss his forehead and then close the door behind me.
"He's a man child." Teddy says.
"He's a something.." I sigh. "But I gotta love him."
"Yeah yeah yeah.. less talking, more gaming!"
"Babe!" I hear from the hall. I set my coffee down and walk into the hall and see Kayden limping my way. I hurry to him and help him to the kitchen.
"You should've gotten the wheelchair." I tell him. He kisses me, then takes a drink of my coffee.
"Not as good as mine," he teases. I huff and turn away, but he pulls me back to him and smiles. "I need love."
"Get a room!" Teddy yells from the living room. He smiles and winks at me, and then limps into there and sits on her. I laugh and record them.
"Love me!" He yells. "Teddy!"
"Never!" She yells. "Anna get your cripple boyfriend off of me!"
"Hmm.... I'm good!" I say with a laugh. "I'm gonna set up the Christmas tree." Kayden limps in behind me and rests his arms on my shoulder as I walk to the closet. I carry the tree box to Teddy, where we all set it up.
"A blue tree, huh?" Kayden asks as he pulls me in a hug. I lean into him and smile.
"It looks beautiful." Teddy says.
"My grandma gave me the ornaments when I was little." I say. "She said they're made out of real China."
"Your grandma must've been really nice," Kayden tells me.
"She was," Teddy says with a smile. "I remember when Anna and I would stay over there on Christmas break she'd give us cookies and let us paint."
"I miss her," I sigh and rest my head on his shoulder.
"Mind getting the cups from the living room?" Kayden asks Teddy.
"Sure," she says and hands him cup after cup. "You know she really loves you."
"Anna? I know." He says.
"You don't." Teddy shakes her head. "That girl is head over heels in love with you. When are you gonna pop the question?"
"I've got no clue..." he runs this fingers through his hair. "I want to, though."
"When are you gonna pop the question?" My heart starts aching.
I look my outfit over to make sure I am dressed okay. I've got on white skinny jeans and brown boots with a simple black sweater and my grey gages.
"Come in come in!" Teddy pulls dad and Jessica in. Jessica definitely has a baby bump; and her ring.
"Hey," she joins me in the kitchen, where I pull out the last pie. "Smells good!"
"Thanks," I say. "And don't worry - my mom and Jay won't be joining us."
"Your father has the gifts," she tells me. I smile and walk into the living room and hug dad.
"You're getting old," I tell him with a smile.
"You are too!" He points out.
"Am not." I huff, then smile and set the gifts under the tree. Music plays in the background, I love Christmas music.
"Johnny!" Teddy squeals and hugs her boyfriend. I smile at Kayden, who gives Johnny the old Test.
"She's like my little sister," he says to Johnny. "So if you hurt her, you'll disappear." I pull Kayden away and kiss his cheek.
"Honey behave." I tell him.
"Gifts!" Dad yells. We all gather around, and Kayden stays standing. I take a seat on the love seat.
"I'd like to go first," Kayden announces. "Anna. This is my gift to you. I know it isn't much but I sold my motorcycle for it and I believe it's perfect." I smile and mess with the ring on my middle finger.
"Anna you're the love of my life. You're literally my everything. I'd done for you. You've seen me at my worst, and my best. You're my best friend and I want to spend forever with you. You help me through this game we call life, and I realized we all need to play co-op once in a while." He gets down on one knee, and I almost cry. "Will you be my player two?"
"Yes," I tell him. "Yes!" He slides the ring on my finger and hugs me as everyone claps.
"Kayden!" I yell. I pick up the broken cup and sigh. "Kayden!!" I walk down the hall and into the bedroom, he's on his phone, earphones in. I throw a shirt that was on the floor at him. He just leaves it there as it lands over his upper body.
I crawl on the bed over his legs and under the shirt. I pull out the ear buds and smile. "Wanna tell Mr why there's a broken cup in our kitchen?"
"I didn't do it." He says. I lean forward more and kiss him.
"You suck at lying." I say and stand up. "Its your turn to cook dinner."
"But I did last night!" He wines.
"But you broke a cup!" I wine back. He buffs, I do the same. He flips me off, I do it back with both hands and wink.
"Fuuuuuck!" He wines. "Baaabyyy!"
"No!" I protest. "March your five year old self into that kitchen and cook a pizza!"
"Fine!" He says and storms off into the hall.
"I love you!" I yell.
"I love you too!" He yells back, I smile and tidy up the bedroom.
"Looks great!" Teddy says with a smile.
"Thank you." I say, sitting down. Kayden and Johnnie took off into the living room, we are in the kitchen. "I wanted to talk to you about something."
"Sure," she says. "What's wrong?"
"Would you be the Godmother of my child?" I ask.
"That would mean you're...." she stops and a smile slowly forms on her face. "Anna."
"I'm pregnant!" I say with a laugh.
"You dog!" Teddy yells at Kayden. He looks utterly confused.
"Teddy he doesn't know.." I whisper.
"What do you mean!?" Teddy asks loudly. "He has to know!"
"He was buzzed that night and didn't use a condom and... yeah.."
"Anna..." Kayden warns.
"Kayden." I say with a slight sigh. "I know we've only been married for a month but... I'm pregnant."
He just looks at me for a minute or two. He grabs my hand and smiles slightly.
"You're serious?" He asks.
"As a heart attack." I say. He smiles and laughs and all in once picks me up in a hug and spins us around. When he sets me down he gives me a deep long kiss, making me warm all over. That night we called everyone we knew, to tell them about the little one inside of me. Soon, we'd have a toddler running around our apartment and I was way to excited.
