Wolf laid Rikan on the guest room bed as Scarlet came rushing in. "I'm fine..." Rikan mumbled.

"Have you looked at yourself lately?" Scarlet asked in return. Yes, I have. And I look good! Rikan thought. Although he was covered in blood, he still had good looks. Instead Rikan said nothing as the couple prepared medicine for him.

He heard feet coming to the upstairs of the farm house, and coming closer to the room. He really didn't care who saw him this way at the moment. Besides, the Kesley's were like a second family to him. "So I hear you got attacked by a bear, eh?" A voice said.

Rikan strained to see who it was, but then Wolf blocked the view. "Get out." He ordered with a low growl.

"What's wrong, Pa? I'm just talking."

"Now is not the time to be distracting us. Get out, before I get you out." Scarlet continued working as Wolf and the male verbally fought. "Do you really want to go there?"

"Try me." Wolf swiftly went forward to drag the person out of the room, but they reacted faster. The person pushed Wolf back, making him hit the bed that Rikan was laying on. Lucky, he had good balance so he didn't fall on top of Rikan. If he did, the crown prince would a be a flat pancake.

It must be Armel, Rikan decided. He was the only person he knew that was stronger than Wolf. "Armel." He spoke with a hoarse voice.

"See. He wants to see me." Armel pushed past his father and made his way to Rikans bedside. "You alright?"

"I'm fine. As I've said to your sister; I just have a few broken bones." Armel laughed and Rikan smiled, but instantly winced in pain.

"Armel, I think that it'd be best if you go. Rikan is in a lot of pain right now." Scarlet spoke up. Armel glared at his mother and got up and left rapidly. "That boy has anger issues. I'm sorry Rikan."

"Its alright. He was just trying to make sure that I was okay." Scarlet smiled at him as she placed a cloth in a bowl of warm water. She explained to him that she was going to wash up all the blood from the wounds before she begins applying medicine. Rikan nodded and stared up at Wolf, trying to say thank you to him through his eyes. He just nodded in understanding.

When Scarlet pulled the cloth away to soak it again, he noticed that it was blood red. He took a shuddering breath and tried to calm down. He was supposed to be the strong one here. He couldn't show to his country that he can become weak from seeing blood. Stars, he had a weak stomach.

"Rikan?" Wolf asked with a huff. He strode over to Rikans side as he stared down worriedly at him. "You're turning grey. Is this normal Scarlet?" Scarlet, who was wringing out the cloth, looked over at Rikan.

"That is definitely not normal." She dropped the cloth in the bloody water as she called for Michelle to come up the stairs. Rikans vision was becoming fuzzy and so did his hearing. He heard something that sounded like feet coming up the stairs, but he wasn't sure. he saw a flash of vivid red, and he was guessing that it was one of Kesley's but he couldn't be sure of which one. Someone spoke to him, but he couldn't hear what they were saying. It sounded like he was underwater.

He felt so weak. But he couldn't be. He needed to be strong, he needed to live. He couldn't put his family through a grieving time. Besides, no parent should live past their child. Rikan felt like this was the end. He felt someone wrap something around his arm. Probably taking my blood pressure. He thought. The weak prince trusted the Kesley's with his life. He just hoped that he they could help him.

"Help him!" He heard someone scream. His hearing was coming back now, but his vision was still blurry. His body began to feel numb. Rikan didn't want to panic but he couldn't help. He felt tears slip from his eyes. He would wipe them away, but he was too weak. He lost too much blood, and he needed more.
