When Love Is Turned Into A Weapon

Chapter One: Restrain the demon

It was in the early afternoon where Batman called the team in for a mission at the watch tower. Batman is awaiting for everyone's arrival standing beside the newest member of the Justice League, Zatanna.

Nightwing and Kid Flash were the last members of the team that arrive, awaiting for an announcement from the three.

"That's everyone" Batman finally speaks.

Zatanna begins, "Hi everyone, I have gathered you all today in request for your aid." Zatanna takes a deep breath before she continues....

"Klarion, the witch boy"

"The devil looking kid with the ugly pet cat" Kid Flash interrupted.

"You want us to take him down?" Nightwing Interrupted.

"If it were possible, I would do the job myself" Zatanna answered.

"Wooooooaaah, one magic hero and one magic villain fighting, wosssh pooww piieeeww! FIREEE BLASSST!" That would be epic!" Kid Flash interrupted once more.

Batman gave him one of his famous bat-glares, noticing the eyes squinting behind his cowl and his mouth almost pouting.

Noticing his temper rising, Nightwing gave him a little nudge and whispering "Come on dude, you're 20 years old now, start acting like it"

"20 years young" Wally silently protested, trying to mimic Batman's bat-glare at Nightwing but only to amuse him more.

"You're so cute when you're angry" said under his breath, so softly. He didn't want Kid Flash to hear but he sort of did want him to hear at the same time.

Wally heard Nightwings comment but did not react, instead he was quiet and almost a smile was forming. Wally thought "why such words were spoken and wow, those words made his heart ache, it was pain but pleasureable."

"My fa...th... Doctor Fate will be battling him" Zatanna started again.

"It has come to our attention that Klarion will reign chaos on earth during his battle with Doctor Fate" Batman announced.

"So what do we do?" Kid Flash questioned.

"I have decided to fight along-side Doctor Fate, and I'm hoping you will all join me" Zatanna claimed.

"The Justice League will be both on and off world trying to pin-point exactly how Klarion will reign his chaos, and at least the League will be saving the earth from it. You job is to stop Klarion at the source" Batman reported.

"I have studied the way in which The light have managed to combine technology, mind control techniques, energies including chemical and kinetic even sorcery to achieve results. With the matter at hand, I have developed a collar that renderers anyone abilities no matter what or who they are. With my magics, I have placed enchantment within the collar detects the individual's abilities and collects their power or energy and acts as 'cuffs' for your abilities. The more powerful you are, the more powerful the 'cuff' will be. I have produced two collars, one for Klarion himself and his pet cat" Zatanna concluded.

"Ingenious" Nightwing gasped

Startled, everyone looks at him with concern. He recoveres back into the hero he is, a change in his tone "I'm guessing Rocket helped you with the kinetic energy co-operative, Red Tornado and Batman provided you with the technology and Martian Manhunter with the mind-control ?"

"He cannot control the mind but his methods and techniques with handling the mind combined with my magic contributed with to the success" Zatanna answered

"Klarion is very powerful, he has the abilities way beyond the league of anyone on this earth, alone. We head out in 3 hours" Batman finalizes and dismisses the group.
