Chapter Five: Only Human

"BRUCE!" Dick exclaimed.

Wally quickly covered himself with sheets already placed on the bed, forcing Bruce to chuckle. Bruce realizing he is out of character, he cleared his throat and began to explain himself. "Sorry for barging in like this, but I have news. Artemis arrived at the tower 10 minutes ago. And she's looking for you two and Zatanna."

Wally thought "Every time me and Dick are alone, this always happen to us."

"Have you heard of knocking, Bruce? Im sure Alfred thought you that at least." Dick argued.

"I heard moans I thought you were in trouble, so I picked the lock." Batman defended.

"Uhhhgg whatever, we'll head to the tower as soon as possible" Dick snapped.

Bruce left the room feeling guilty for what he had done. Dick walked from his bed to close the door Bruce left open. "Sorry about that, he always picks my lock whenever I lock it."

"Hahaha, it's fine, at least he doesn't seem to be mad about us. I mean, I feel sorry for him finding us having..." Before Wally could finish Dick intentionally interrupted.

"Wally!"

"... huh, what?"

"As much as I love my view right now, please put some clothes on" Dick chuckled.

"Ngaww fine, babe."

B01 Nightwing, B03 Kid Flash

Wally and Dick arrive at the tower spotting Zatanna and Doctor Fate using the holograms. They seemed to be researching ancient incantations.

"There, that's it!" Zatanna protested.

Dick and Wally turned curious to what the two were up too, they attempt to read the words engraved on a hologramming a page.

"The curse of shattered sight?" Wally said worryingly.

"Yes, it says here, that the ingredients required here are tear's from an individual with a broken heart and broken soul." Doctor Fate answered.

"Broken soul?" Nightwing turn towards the direction of Zatanna giving a worried look.

"They didn't break me. Psimon's abilities only made it seem as if I was. During the experience I was in, it seemed like my soul was destroyed, and yes, my heart was broken."

"The tears I shed were tears formed by broken heart and soul, Thus their spell might work, the sorcery to pull this off is crazy big, but knowing Klarion, him and his associates did manage create 2 dimensions at one point. A simple curse like this, should seem like child's play to him." Zatanna added.

"How do stop him from casting this 'curse', heck whatever the curse is I'm sure it's not going to work on me!" Wally getting side tracked, began blabbing about magic nonsense.

"Not in front of Zee, dude." Nightwing nudged Kid Flash

"..... Anyway, this curse. The curse of shattered sight, the people affected blinds you by hatred. The curse makes you become your worst self, it makes you turn on anyone or even everyone around you, that's including your friends and family, even on your partner." Zatanna warned Nightwing and Kid Flash.

The two looked at each other with worry. "What do you mean exactly by 'makes you become your worst self, and makes you turn on them'?"

The Flash and Batman walk in as soon as Doctor Fate begins explaining "The curse takes control of your devious and dark emotions and brings them into the light, but I believe the curse ends until... there's no one left to curse"
