Rukia's pov:
I felt my body shake as I was still asleep. The shaking got even harder so I decided to wake up. When I opened my eyes I saw bright orange. As my vision cleared I noticed it was Ichigo who was furiously shaking me.
"Come on Rukia, do you want to be late?" he questioned as I stood up. I looked at his clock that was on the table next to his bed and noticed it was getting late. As Ichigo went down stairs I quickly got dressed and grabbed my bag. I rushed down stairs into the kitchen. Ichigo and I ate quickly before hurrying off to school. As we were walking it was strangely silent.
"Why were you awake so early?" I questioned. He looked up at the sky as he shrugged his shoulders.
"I couldn't sleep all night," he replied. I mouthed a simple 'oh' as we continued to walk. I looked up at Ichigo while He wasn't looking. As the morning sunlight shined on him I noticed something gleaming around his neck.
He is wearing necklace, I thought as I smiled to myself. He interrupted my thoughts as he questioned,"why are you smiling?" I told him it was for no reason. He didn't question me any further. A couple minutes after that, we were finally at school. We approached our group of friends as they greeted us.
"Ichigo why do you have that strawberry around your neck?" questioned Kiego with a slight chuckle. I thought Ichigo was going to make up some excuse and say his sisters made him wear it but his response shocked me.
"I'm wearing it because someone special gave it to me," he answered with a growl. Kiego didn't say anything but instead just shook his head. Orihime, Tatsuki, and I all gave a small chuckle. After that we all Sat down in our seats just in time before the bell rang. The teacher walked in and began the lesson. As I was writing I noticed how Orihime was glaring at Ichigo.
Why out of all the people did my best friend have to like the same person I do? I can't help but feel jealous and I hate it. This is unlikely of me. I know Ichigo and I can't be together. He's a human and I'm a soul. It is prohibited. But then why do I feel at ease only with him?, I thought to myself. I shook my head trying to forget about my thoughts and focused back on the lesson. A while after the bell sounded for lunch.
I was about to sit next to Ichigo but Orihime took the spot. She looked up at me with a concerned expression.
"Oh Kuchiki-San, where you going to sit here?" she questioned. I noticed how oblivious she was. I lied as I shook my head no and gave a small smile. I Sat down beside Renji and began to eat my lunch.
"That's why you bought it," mumbled Renji with a sorrow tone. I looked at him as I put my lunch down in confusion. Was he talking about the necklace? As I was about to ask him he told me to forget what he said. I sat there quietly as I heard the others conversations and just smiled.
"That's a very beautiful necklace you have Kurosaki-Kun," Orihime stated while looking at Ichigo's chest. Ichigo replied,"yeah it is." I noticed he he gave a small smile. I felt a warm feeling inside as I looked at his face. I continued to eat. I finished my lunch just in time as the bell rang. We continued on the lesson as the teacher taught. I found myself looking over at Ichigo every once in a while. I also noticed Orihime doing the same. I tried to focus on the lesson and not think about Ichigo but it was hard since he was right across from me. After a while of struggling to focus the hel bell finally rang. I grabbed my stuff and walked next to Ichigo. As he felt my presence he looked down at m me with a gentle smile. We walked outside as I felt the warmness of the sun on my skin.
"Ichigo!" I heard someone yell. Ichigo and I both turned around to see the owner of the voice was Orihime. She asked if he could walk her home. He looked at me to ask my opinion. I nodded my head as I turned the other direction. As Ichigo walked Orihime home I headed to ours. For some reason when I arrived I felt drained out of my energy. I let Ichigo's family know I was tired and I wouldn't be eating.
As I laid in my bed, one thing crossed my mind. Ichigo's smile and the necklace I gave him appeared in my head. I smiled as I felt my eyes close by themselves. Then I fell asleep all at once.

Rukia's POV:
I woke up and did the usual school morning routine. This time I was the one who had to wake up Ichigo. After breakfast, as we were walking I noticed something different about him. I couldn't put my finger on it but he just didn't look the sane to me. After minutes of walking we finally arrived to school.
"Good morning Kurosaki-Kun and Kuchiki-San," Orihime greeted as we walked in the class. I gave her a smile and replied back and so did Ichigo. As Orihime was talking something caught my eye. I felt a sharp pain as I noticed something. She's wearing the necklace.
