"Someone call 911!" I hear a voice yell. It's Scott's.
I can feel Channing's hands on my shoulders. He's lifting me up. There's movement, then my head falls and lands somewhere soft.
HIs lap.
He's pushing the hair out of my face.
"Elina, stay with us. Elina can you hear me ?" He's asking slowly, and softly. I hear voices everywhere, gasping and whispering.
"Channing, what's going on ?" That's Mister Fowler's voice.
"She knocked her head on the locker and the fact that she just recovered from a previous concussion, tells me that she probably passed out again."
"Channing, should I ask for your dad."
"Yeah. Thanks Scott." Then suddenly, I feel someone grab my hand and intertwine their fingers with mine. It's not Channing because both his hands or gripping onto me tightly.
"Is she okay ?" The slight British accent, almost brings a smile to my face. I stop myself quickly, remembering that I'm supposed to be unconscious.
"She'll be fine. My dad will take care of her."
I feel a pair of lips on my forehead.
"Alright kids, out, out, she needs air, the ambulance will be here soon." Mister Fowler yells.
The hall grows quieter by the second and soon enough I realize that only, me, Channing, Colby and Mister Fowler are left.
"What happened ?" Colby asks. His fingers are still between mine, and I think that's the most comforting thing here.
"She hit her head on her locker."
"Boys, the ambulance is here." None of them move and again, I force myself not to show my teeth in happiness.
"Oh my gosh! Is she okay!?" I hear Minnie's voice, right as two pairs of hands grab me and lift me up, placing me on a gurney.
"Minnie, I have to ask you to leave. She'll be okay." Mister Fowler says.
"I'll be going to the hospital with her." Mister Fowler says. I'm carried away, the gurney rolling through the school halls.
By now, my hand is left alone, my head is no longer resting on someone's lap, and I'm being followed by Mister Fowler.
"Actually, Mister Fowler, can I go too ?" Channing asks.
"I guess that wouldn't be an issue. You are the doctors son.
"Well I want to go as well." Colby says, reaching us.
"Alright, only two can come in the back. The other will have to sit in the front." A voice I don't recognize says, in a stern tone.
"I'll go in the back." Colby and Channing say at the same time.
"I think it would be best if I and one of you go in the back. I am responsible for her until her parents get to the hospital.
"Colby, you can sit in the front." Channing says. I imagine a smirk on his face, one that would make me go crazy.
"Hell no. I'm going in the back." Colby says. I hear frustration and slight desperation.
"No man. I'm going in-"
Mister Fowler interrupts them, whispering something to them, as I can't hear it.
By now, I've been lifted into the ambulance. It's cooler in here and it feels really nice.
Then the ambulance tips slightly backwards as Mister Fowler and Channing or Colby step inside. One more tip back, and the paramedic steps in and takes a seat. Soon after the doors close, I feel fingers intertwine with mine, and a thumb slowly stroking my side.
