Lillian
I got to the game almost hoping that he wouldn't show up to see us loose. We hadn't won a game all season. I began stretching and there was still no sign of Daniel. Thank god he isn't here to see us loose misserably I thought as I looked at the empty spot on the bleachers where he should have been sitting. The score was 12-22 and yes we were the team with 12 goals. Surprisingly that was the most goals we had got in one game all season. We had all knew we would loose but just then when everything went quiet on the feild I heard him. I turned to look at the bleachers and there he was cheering for us.
"LILLIAN RUN!" I heard a voice shout out. I looked down to realize I had the ball!
Everything went into slow mode. I bolted to the net avoiding all the other teams players. I scored! At that moment I felt invincible.
There was five minutes until the game was over. The score was 26-22 and yes we were winning. I had taken the ball again. I was making my way to the net when I was tripped. The pain was unbearable. They stopped the game and the coach came running over to me. He saw the blood and called for help. Of course Daniel came running over. The coaches face when white. "I am trained in first aid. I can deal with this. I need you to go back to the bench so you don't pass out and I need you to call 911." Daniel said to the coach.
My parents had come down to see if I was okay. I didn't realize how bad it was until I saw the look on Daniel's face.
When I got to the hospital they told me that my leg was broken and the bone had came up out of the skin. It took 26 staples to fix the wound and I would be in a cast for 8 weeks. Once i got out of surgery Daniel sat next to me holding by hand. Then he drove me home, helped me in the house, and we had dinner with my parents just like we had planned.
