Her
Formal. Like a mini prom. It is supposed to be a unforgettable moment and everyone is supposed to be hammered or high or both and enjoying life. I thought this would never be me. I would never drink, I would never dance, I would never meet a guy who understood me and my condition. But, I guess I was wrong.
I had to skip school for a doctors appointment and then to prepare for the big night.
Daniel came to see me get my hair nails and makeup done and then drive me home after so we could get ready for pictures. When we got home I had to have help putting my dress on again due to the tubes so Daniel came to my rescue. As soon as I turned around and looked at him he was speechless. He automatically kissed me and we headed out onto the lawn. Mom and dad took about 6 billion pictures and then we headed to Daniels.
"I am warning you, since my family hasn't really seen you before everyone is here."
How many was everyone? Would they like me?When we pulled up the drive way cars swarmed the drive way. Everyone had came. Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents, Family, Friends, EVERYONE.
We left the house and headed to the school. No one expected me to be coming due to what had all been going on but I still came.
My head on his shoulder was the most relaxing spot to be. No matter how loud the music was I seemed so calm and relaxed by the swaying of our bodies. His arms were like a barrier to protect me and show guys I was his. When I could barely stand anymore but still wanted to dance he picked me up some so I wouldn't have to stand. When I couldn't do it anymore he would carry me over to the bench and let me rest on his shoulder. Too much excitement was bad for my heart and tired me out fast. When I got to the part that I could barely move he picked me up, carried me down the stairs and out the doors. He sat me in the back of his truck, turned on the heat(cause it was snowing outside) and hopped in the other side. He leaned up against the door and laid my head on his lap. He pulled a blanket over my body and I fell asleep.
When I awoke he asked if I wanted to party or go to my house or his house. I decided to party for a bit. I hadn't told him that at my doctors appointment they told me I was now able to drink and again at prom but that was it.
When we got there he helped me out of the truck and we walked in. He started to drink a beer but now that he was with me he didn't ever drink much. He didn't mind though cause he could drive me home and not feel bad the next morning. He asked me if I wanted anything and I said a fruity drink. He came back and handed me one. One became two and two became three. After three I was drunk. I didn't want my parents to know so we drove to Daniels house. He told me to go get changed and he got water and bread for me so my hangover wouldn't be as terrible. He stayed by my side through the bad parts and good parts. He held back my hair when I was sick, helped me into bed, cooked me breakfast in the morning and then drove me home. Somehow my parents weren't mad but I still only grabbed another change of cloths and headed back to Daniels.
