Not a Single Heartbeat {A.I}

It's 2023 and the world has ended... well basically, there is no such thing as 'humanity' anymore. All the people like things I have come across are crazy or a zombie. I'm all alone in this world, at first it was scary and now it's all I know what and how to do,I feel like a zombie myself because there is no purpose of living anymore

It was a regular day, I can't really tell you the exact day because I have stopped keeping record.  It was calm and peaceful currently at the place I was holding up. It was a cabin at the top of a mountain, deserted.

I opened my eyes from my slumber and looked around the room, light was beaming inside from the curtains. I got up out of the bed and went to the kitchen. I got out the usual, Tinned fruit and went out to the balcony, I made sure I had my trusty gun just in case and u sat down, today was a windy day, you couldn't see the blue sky because it was covered with grey dark clouds. After I finished my food I checked all the cupboards to see how much supplies I had, I decided to go out and get some more food and ammunition. I got dressed into the usual, my cargo pants and just a black top, I put a knife in a pocket, I grabbed a gun as put the strap around my neck and a handgun for quick access.

I started walking down the dirt road that lead to the closest shopping area, basically a few corner stores. I finally reached it and there was no sign of zombies, just rotting bodies around, I walked over to one of the shops and got out my handgun, I opened the door and the bell rang, I let go of the door and walked in, still no sign of zombies. I collected all the basic needs:
•Food
•water
•some new joggers cause mine were broken
•ammo
•medication

I zipped up my bag and got up off the ground, just as I was about to open the door I heard a faint 'help' but I didn't know where it was from, I stayed quiet till I heard something else.

"Somebody help" I heard someone scream from further inside the shop, I put my handgun away and grabbed my shotgun, I ran over to where I heard the scream.  I opened a door and behind it was 2 blokes holding back a shit tonne of zombies with basically a gun and some wood. I pumped my shotgun and blew one of the zombies heads off, both of the guys stared at me in shock as I kept killing the zombies one by one, the brown haired Asian looking one kept shooting the zombies with me, after it was cleared a bit I ran over to the back door and opened it

"Hurry up" I yelled at them, the Asian one shot a few more before running back with his other friend. We got out and kept running for a few more minutes till it was clear

"Thank you so much" the guy with dirty blonde hair huffed

"No problem, you sound a bit puffed, would you guys like some water?" I asked politely kneeling down and opening my bag

"No it's fine we have supplies" the Asian one replied

"Okay well I best be on my way" I said getting up and throwing my bag over my shoulder

"Wait wait wait" the dirty blonde one said as he grabbed my shoulder

"What" I questioned

"Do you want to stay with us? More people and stuff" he asked

"No thanks, I'd rather be alone right now" I replied and tried to walk off before he grabbed my shoulder again "what" I groaned

"Come on, it would suck being alone" he smiled

"No it doesn't because then I don't get attached to people and emotional when they die or leave me because I'm the end that's what happened" I huffed and shoved his hand off my shoulder

"Okay um sorry, I just thought tha-"

"Yeah you thought, but sooner or later if I said yes you would of just left me" I sarcastically smiled and walked off

"Wait" he yelled back

"What do you want from me?"

"Your name" he stated

"What no why" I asked

"Because I want to know your name" he said back

"Tell me your names first" I huffed

"My name is Ashton and this is Calum" I looked them both up and down

"My name is Pandora now goodbye" I stated before turning around again and leaving

"Goodbye Pandora" both the boys said at the same time

"Hope I'll see you again" Calum yelled at me. I decided not to think about it and I walked back home, when I finally reached it something seemed off. I opened the door and slowly grabbed the gun, I walked inside and looked around, I couldn't find anything after a few minutes so I sat down and let my feet rest and slowly I drifted to sleep.

"Pandora wake up" someone said in the   Distance

"Pandora get up now" another one yelled, I opened my eyes and looked around

"Where am I?" I whispered

"Pandora are you okay?" A muffled voice asked, I looked over to my right  and Ashton came into sight running over, I looked up and saw Calum with a worried expression on his face

"What am I doing here" I ask as I sit up from Calum's lap

"Well we were walking up this road and these zombies were at a house, we thought nothing of it until we saw them smash the window and when we looked inside you were asleep on the couch, so we told Luke and Michael to help us get you out and Calum carried you, we grabbed as much of your stuff as we could but it's basically the bag you had earlier crammed with a lot of shit" Ashton explained, I sat their and just thought about the fact that I don't have a place to stay anymore, then I realised I was still siting on Calum

"Shit I'm sorry I forgot" I mumbled getting up from his lap

"No no it's alright" he winked and got up, I scoffed and rolled my eyes at him but he just laughed. We all walked over to where the two other guys were, Luke and Michael I'm presuming.

"Guys this is Pandora, pandora this is Luke" he said pointing to the tall blonde haired boy "and this is Michael" he said pointing to the red haired boy

"Nice to meet you" I smiled and shook both their hands

"Nice to meet you too" they both said one after another.

"Alright what's your plan" I asked

"We don't really have a plan we just keep going till we either find a stable place or people" Ashton replied and I stood there in shock

"You need to have a plan, me and my friend Zoey always had a plan, since we were young and when this started we kept going with the plan, our other friends joined us and we were going well for a year but one day me, Zoey and Miranda our other friend we looking for supplies and a massive heard of zombies came so we ran and I told them to run the opposite way to me and we got seperate do and since then I have been alone" I lowered my head

"Do you ever think about your friends?" Calum asked

"Yeah all the time, I fear for them but I know that if they are with Zoey then they are in good hands because I believe Zoey won't die she is too strong" I mumbled

"Well you have us now" Michael put his hand on my shoulder

"Thanks" I smiled at him "so where should we go then" I asked as I grabbed my bag off the ground

"Well we were gonna continue going this way" Michael said taking his hand off my shoulder
