Adrian soon returned, coming back with two bottled waters and two shot glasses. "For you!" She handed her sister a water and a glass.

"Thank you darling!" Jessica said giggling.

Their next topic was, naturally, boys. "I mean, I feel bad the way I left James, but at the same time, it hurt when he said he didn't want to have sex."

Adrian shrugged. "Sometimes, you have to go through massive heartbreak to find the one. And other times, it's simply a matter of time. But I would hold off on sex. That's just a bit too far for now."

Jessica tilted her head. "Okay, I guess. What about you, any cuties?" She nudged her sister.

Adrian blushed. "No..."

"Awh, gimmie the deats!"

"Okay, he's a soccer player. Gorgeous. Hilarious. And there is no way we could ever go out."

"Please, I bet you just have to open and talk to him! The only way there wouldn't be a possible future together is if he's with a girlfriend."

"Or in his case, a boyfriend."

Jessica's jaw dropped. "Awh honey! That hurts!"

"Mmmhmm!"

Jessica smiled. "Well, if you become close friends, maybe he'll change his mind about girls." She winked. "And if not, well, you just end up with one more close friend."

"That's really good advice! Thanks!"

"Oh, so I have a game for us!"

"Do tell!" Adrian giggled.

Jessica pointed to the unopened bottle of vodka. "Drinking game. In the song 'Edge of Glory', everytime Lady Gaga says 'edge', we take a shot."

"Geebus. She says it like 30 times in that song! That could kill us!"

"I know, right!" Jessica declared.

Jessica ended up giving in at shot twelve, she didn't want to pass out, and Adrian hardly took half of that she was supposed to.

Around two in the morning, Jessica and Adrian were still completely awake.

"Jess, last night, when you pulled over at Waffle House, where did you go?" Adrian asked curiously.

"I-I just went to Waffle House." Jessica stuttered. Her hands figeted. Her eye twitched. She'd been trying so hard to forget that night.

"Please, tell me. You can trust me."

Jessica sighed. "Fine, I went to our old school. Applewood Academy." She sat on her hands to keep them from shaking.

"Why? What did you do there?"

Jessica snapped her head up. "Why do you want to know?!"

Adrian shrugged. "I'm just curious, don't freak."

"Don't freak?! You know something, don't you!"

"Jessica, chill! What's the matter with you?"

"What's wrong with me? What's wrong with you?! Why are you questioning me like I did something wrong? You think I'm paranoid, don't you! Just because I spent the rest of bloody eighth grade in that mental asylum!"

"I wasn't assuming anything!" Adrian backed up cautiously. "Why are you acting so paranoid?" She looked at Jessica. Her eyes were huge and twiitching. Her hands were shaking and she noticed a snake like scar on her arm. "What did you do?!"

"I didn't do anything! It was all you!" Jessica grinned. She walked up the stairs.

Adrian's heart was pounding. She knew exactly what was going on. Before Jessica's dad dropped her off, he emailed her mom saying that every now and again, Jessica went through nightly relapses. She would see visions, hear voices, and make decisions she wouldn't normally make. It happened twice, but the next time it happened, she would be checking in to Lavender Hills permanently.

Jessica didn't know what she was doing. She could set the house on fire! She could hurt herself, or Adrian, or her mother. Adrian stood up. She wasn't going to let some physco bitch try to ruin her life again.
