"NO! This is ridiculous! You cannot make me go in there!" Jessica grunted, attempting to shove her sister into Victoria's Secret. She needed a few good pushup bras and some thongs. But unfortunately, her sister wouldn't budge.
"Jess, I appreciate the makeover, but why do I need to wear butt floss and enough padding in a bra to make a PIILLOW?!" Adrian yelled at the top of her lungs.
"Shh! Shut up! People are starting to stare!" Jessica hissed. A bunch of pretty blonde girls stopped at the front of the store to laugh.
"I don't care if they stare! Why can't we just go to Charlotte Ruse?" Her sister asked.
"Because that is where girls that can't afford cute clothes go!" Her sister responded. Jessica hadn't stepped in anything on that side of the mall since she could rememeber.
Her sister stopped struggling and just walked away. Before she could start completely running, Jessica grabbed her wrist. "Come on, we're supposed to be bonding."
"Well, can't we go to Journey's or Hot Topic?" Her sister asked pleadingly.
"Why would we go there when we still haven't gone shopping to Sephora or Saks?"
"We were in Saks- you bought me a buttload of makeup there, remember?"
A vision of that terrifying dream popped into Jessica's mind. You'll remember. She shoved that memory out of he rmind. "Yeah, but we never bought any clothes! You'll love Alice + Olivia, Alexander Wang, Theory, Juicy Couture-"
"Don't care. I'm not going into overpriced stores from clothes that cost more than my house!"
"They do not! Only stuff like Gucci would. You'll be fine if-"
"But they don't sell converse, do they?" Adrian asked.
"Well, no not really-"
"Then I don't care." She walked up to a handyman and grabbed his megaphone. "Any person that shops for designer stuff is stupid! Why pay over $100 for a stupid shirt that you could get a anywhere else?! Or could get something actually cute, like this." She unbuttoned her Juicy jacket Jessica forced her into wearing, revealing her Question Authority tee-shirt. A few people holding Hot Topic and Journey's bags applauded. A lot of Jessica's friends were here. She dragged her sister away.
She dragged her all the way to the parking lot in a stony silence. They found their mother's Toyato Camry and hopped in. Jessica refused to make eye contact.
"Did you like my speech, sis?" Adrian asked, her facial expression hopeful.
Jessica turned to her slowly, not a single emotion splashed across her face. "Like it? LIKE IT?! Why on Earth would I like it?! You embarrassed me in front of the entire mall! I knew some people in there! What the hell is wrong with you?"
Adrian laughed like her sister just told a hilarious joke. "Please, you really care about what those people think? Come on! I did you a favor. Now that you'll be shunned by those Barbie- look alikes, you can start hanging out with cool people, like me. You just have to be yourself. Never change to please someone else. I knew you weren't always like this."
Jessica shook with rage. "Like what?! Cool, skinny, popular or beautiful? This is me! I just wanted you to fit in with your school. Tell me, have you even had your first kiss?"
Adrian rolled her eyes. "What difference does it make? To show the guy I love that I love him, I need emotional love, not physical."
"Emotional?" Jessica snorted. "Any guy that shows emotional love with no physical love whatsoever is clearly gay."
"You think what you want. I don't care what you say. I'm proud to be myself. I am proud that I love Harry Potter, wearing mismatched socks with my converse, and not caking myself in makeup. Although, I must say I do look even more fabulous." Adrian laughed again. "Do you even read?"
Jessica raised a perfectly plucked eyebrow. "Yes, I can read. I choose not to. And if your next question was going to be if I liked Harry Potter, no I do not."
Her sister gasped. She smacked Jessica on the head. "TAKE IT BACK!" She started crumbling up paper and throwing it at her, giggling.
"SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Jessica roared. Adrian's eyes widened; there was only one other time she saw her sister this mad. Jessica pulled over into the parking lot of a Waffle House. She opened the door and started walking away.
"I'll see you at home?"
"Hopefully not, bitch." Jessica spat.
"Okay, later hoe!" Adrian giggled and switched sides to drive.

Adrian sat wide awake in her bed, reading Murder on the Orient Express. She loved a good thriller book. She just loved books in general. She glanced at her watch, it was 2:37 in the morning. She took another handful of popcorn. She was still waiting for her sister to come home. She knew her mom had to work, so she offered to stay awake until she came home. She tried to call her, but she kept ignoring her calls.
She heard the door open, and slam shut. She put her book aside. She heard heavy thudding up the stairs. It sounded so creepy!
The door flew open. Jessica was standing in the doorway, a look of hatred on her face. Without speaking a word, Jessica unloaded her suitcase, pulled out Victoria's Secret pj's and about a hundred different toiletries, and headed towards the bathroom.
Adrian rolled her eyes. Always such a drama queen. She snapped off the light and crawled under the covers. About ten minutes later, Jessica emerged from the bathroom and flipped the lights on.
"Ow!" Adrian yelped, the light blinding her eyes.
"Sorry, did that hurt?" Jessica asked in a sweet voice. "Good."
Adrian rolled to her side. There was no way she would give her sister the satifaction. She lay awake until her sister finally turned the lights out at about 3:00. She tried to be nice, but now it was time to be herself. As she drifted off into sleep, she lay awake grinning. Jessica wouln't know what would hit her.
