I'm His Bestfriend

Dearest Ashley,

        Are you really that stupid? 

I bet you don't know what's 9+10.

       Don't you know how hard he sacrificed and cope up with that shitty attitude of yours so that he could keep your relationship going?

       Why were you being such a brat at times? Is this your way of throwing your anger to my bestfriend just because of your former ex boyfriend? The guy who ditched you for a better one.

     Why? Because you're still that hard-headed bitch. You never changed. You always get what you wanted. You never listen to his "I can explain".

       In every argument, you would always win. When it's obviously your fault, he must say sorry.  I pity them both. Must you really be treated that special?

    I wanna know. Was Gelo only a rebound? To prove you can date another guy after your break-up with Johnny? Did you ever loved him? Did you ever felt butterflies or the sudden blushing feeling whenever you're with Gelo?

      Was it even love? Or you're just infatuated in him, then... nothing—anymore?
  
     4 months. 4 freaking months, Ashley! All awhile you've been only hurting him. He cries whenever he thinks he's not been enough to you. Yet you treat him like crap!

      Remember when he can't afford to buy your favourite brand of perfume the other time, and when he just took you out for a date in Chinatown?  What did you do?

You complained!

    My goodness, Ashley! You said he's being a cheapskate. You were humiliated that he's not that rich and can't afford to buy you stuffs you demanded.

   Oh, remember when you accused me that I was the third-wheel between you and Gelo? The slut you posted in your news feed? Stating how a flirt I was—just because I am close with Gelo?
      Or the time when you slapped me inside the girls' toilet because I had lunch with Gelo. Where were you? Oh, you were busy promoting yourself with the school jocks? What was that for then?

        Duh, can't you just understand that we're just bestfriends and we don't have feelings for each other?

   Or maybe because you want to make me feel stupid for having a very stupid bestfriend who'd fall for a bitch like you?

      Weren't you proud of having him as your boyfriend? Weren't you thankful of having such a caring and loving boyfriend?

      Gelo—Who would answer your 3 a.m. calls just to say "Are you awake? I'm bored."  The guy who'd be on his bike to buy you the food you craved when you're on your period. You're not even pregnant to have extreme cravings!

     Again, do you think you treat him as your boyfriend?

           Ashley, why were you torturing him? What made you do that?

     Last two months ago, you were in an exclusive socialites' party. Elize, my dorm-mate who was also my best friend was there in the said party. She told me that you introduced yourself as single and was looking for a suitor. You saved several strangers'—or in other words, single boys' phone numbers that happens to be your new text-mate.

    What do you call yourself then? Being friendly? Yeah, right.

     Unbelievable. I bet you are happy now because you're free. You'll be liberated now.

    What's the stupidest thing you've done? You blocked him from all of his social media accounts and even blocked his number so that he can't reach you anymore.

  I mean, what's the point?

     I bet you don't even care about his feelings. He's been crying all night and sleepless. He lost his appetite. He looked horrible!

He just lost the girl whom he loved so so much.

    It pains me seeing him like that. I don't know what words to comfort him. He kept hiding himself from people now.

    He felt unneeded anymore. He thinks that people never cared or even loved him. His past relationships were worse too. That's because he always get cheated on. He now felt empty—when that is really not true.

     As his bestfriend, I think I haven't comforted him enough. I'm afraid that one day he might self-harm. He needs to be happy. I want him to be happy again.

    You are indeed selfish. What a poor soul. I hope you never initiated to involve in a relationship with Gelo in the first place if you won't even consider his feelings. Are you not guilty?

     My condolences, Ashley. You've just lost a good boyfriend. Oh well, there's plenty of fishes in the sea, right?
