Later that day, Sakura was sitting in the living room on the coach staring blankly at the TV screen. What happened that morning with Itachi kept playing over in her head. Her thoughts were interrupted by Hidan plopping lazily on the coach next to her. Sakura jumped a little. "Jeez! Don't do that. What's up with you people always sneaking up on me?" Hidan shrugged. " I don't know what you're talking about..." Sakura just rolled her eyes and watched the TV. "Sooooooooo" the Jashinist hinted. " What?" The pink haired ninja asked bluntly, not really in the mood to talk to anyone. "Well...... I don't know...... You just seem out of it" He explained. "And?"
"I was just wondering what was wrong"
"It's none of your business."
Hidan tried to look hurt. "But i thought we were friends!" Sakura gave him a look. "We barely know each other..."
He gave her a pleading look. "Fine.... I'll tell you."
"I knew you'd come around!" He gave her a big smile. "So at breakfast this morning, Itachi and I were in the kitchen and he....." She trailed off. "He what!?" Hidan stared intently at her. "He almost kissed me........ but he walked away." She finished. Hidan stared blankly at her for a minute. "He kissed you" He asked darkly. "ALMOST!" Sakura half shouted. Then Daidara came in.... "Hey guys, Hm." Hidan sat back in the coach and crossed his arms madly. Sakura looked at him questioningly. "Whats wrong with you two? Hm." Hidan got up and stomped off. The two watched him go, Sakura flinched when he slammed the door. "What's wrong with him?" The blond asked. "I have no idea..." Deidara shrugged and said, "well anyway, I was wondering if you wanted to go on a mission. I already asked Pein and he said it was fine." Sakura thought about it and finally nodded. "Sure, I need to get away from here for awhile anyway" She smiled.
In Pein's office, Sakura realized she should have said no.... Itachi, Deidara, Hidan, and Sasori were all going with her. This is exactly why i wanted to get away -_- Sakura thought. "OK, So your mission is to check up on Orochimaru's hideout. He's been to quiet lately." Sakura's eyes widened. "Do you think Sasuke will be there!?" She asked excitedly. "Well, if he is still with Orochimaru, then yes." Pein answered. Finally! This is why i came here in the first place!
Sakura packed her things and met the rest outside the hideout. Deidara jumped up from where he was sitting and greeted her with a big smile. "Over here Cherry! Hm" He yelled as she ran over to them. "Sorry if i kept you all waiting" The pink haired konoichi apologized. "It's fine, we weren't out here long" Deidara replied happily. He smiled at her and she smiled back. If it wasn't for Deidara, i would probably die here... Sakura thought. "We better go before it gets to late" Itachi said before walking off, followed by Hidan. "I hope they aren't like this the whole time," Sasori sighed. For the rest of the day, Itachi and Hidan traveled silently while Deidara, Sasori, and Sakura talked behind them, laughing occasionally. Itachi stopped suddenly in front of everyone, making them bump into each other like domino's. "We're camping here" He said dryly. The three shared a glance before following him into a small clearing in the trees. "I'll Go get the food, Hidan can get the fire wood, while you three set up camp" Ordered Itachi then walked toward the nearby river. Hidan walked into the woods leaving the three friends alone. "Jeez, I can't stand that guy, hm" Deidara huffed as he plopped down on the ground. "Who? Itachi?"Sakura asked. "Yeah, hm, He thinks he's so much better than us." Sakura and Sasori sat down also, forming a small circle. "He's not that bad..." the girl said. "Hm" the blond got up. "well, we better get started. It's going to be dark soon, hm." He walked to a corner of the clearing and started making the tents. "Deidara's just jealous" Sasori grinned. "Of what?" The girls questioned. Sasori just grinned wider and went to help Deidara.
Not long after that, Itachi returned with the fish followed by Hidan, who was carrying the fire wood. Hidan set up the fire. "I'll cook if you want" The girl offered. Itachi looked at her considerably for a moment before handing her the fish. Sakura cooked the fish silently as everyone sat around the fire awkwardly. "Well...... This is fun" Deidara said sarcastically. He got a glare from Hidan in return. "The fish are ready" Sakura interrupted before a fight broke out. "Finally! I'm starving!" The blond smiled. They ate in silence. This atmosphere is killing me.... Sakura thought depressingly. She couldn't take it anymore, Sakura stood up abruptly, taking Itachi and Hidan by the arms and dragging them into the trees. Deidara and Sasori looked after them in astonishment. Sakura Let go of their arms, turning toward them madly. "Look! I don't know what your deal is! But you're acting like little kids! I'm tired of your little guilt trips! Suck it up and be a man! If you have a problem then tell me!!!" She looked at them sternly. All the two Akatsuki could do was look at her with wide eyes. "Well? What have you got to say for yourselves?" She asked. Hidan tried to muffle a laugh but couldn't help but burst into laughter. "Hahahaha! What are you, My mother!? hahahah!" Sakura was taken aback. Itachi smirked, which was rare. "You sure know how to get the point across don't you?" He teased. Sakura felt her face redden in embarrassment. "Shut up! It was your fault for acting like you did!" the embarrassed konoichi yelled. She stomped back to camp, followed by the two boys. Sakura stormed to her tent, zipping the door closed. "What did you guys do to her?" Sasori asked when he saw Itachi and Hidan walk into camp. "What did We do? She told us off!" He laughed. "If I were you, I wouldn't make her mad." They all looked at the tent where Sakura was and smiled a bit.
Maybe Sakura is changing these Akatsuki little by little....
