"Cherry? Cherry you awake? Hm" Sakura grumbled and slowly sat up, wiping her eyes. "Deidara? What are you doing up so late?" She asked tiredly as she unzipped the door to her tent. Deidara smiled at her. "I'm on guard duty. I woke you up because your shift is next. Here..." He handed her a cup of hot tea. Sakura took it, thankful for the warmth. They both sat by the almost dead fire while Sakura sipped her tea. "Aren't you going to sleep?" The girl asked. Deidara shook his head. "I cant sleep in there Hm, Itachi snores, Hidan yells in his sleep, and Sasori cant keep his hands to himself..." Sakura laughed a little. She lifted the cup to her mouth and realized she had already drunk all of her tea. She sat the empty cup on the ground and shivered. "It sure is cold out here" she said with a shiver. The blond slid off his cloak and placed it gently on Sakura's shoulders, his face close to her's. They stared at each other. "T-thanks..." The pink haired girl stuttered, blushing slightly. Deidara slowly moved toward her, pausing as if waiting for her permission. Sakura gazed into his pale blue eyes, not moving away. Deidara took this as an invitation and placed his hand on her cheek gently, closing the gap between them. At first there lips gently pressed against one another. Deidara slid his hand to the back of Sakura's head, lacing his hands in her soft pink hair and pulled Sakura closer, deepening the kiss. An overwhelming urge enveloped the two, making them want to melt into each other. Deidara slid his hand down to Sakura's back. Sakura entangled her fingers in the boys long, blond hair.
There was a rustle in the woods beyond the clearing, making the two pull apart. It was a fox..... Deidara slid the kunai back up his sleeve which Sakura hadn't noticed he had taken out. "Well... That ruined the moment...." Sakura said. "We can always pick up where we left off." The boy grinned. Sakura blushed. "It's, um, getting late... And my shifts over anyway.... So, uh, I better get some rest! 'cuz you know we have a lot of traveling ahead of us!" The girl rambled on in embarrassment, while struggling to get the tent door to zip. Finally She got it closed. Deidara stood confused in the clearing, while Sakura berried her head in her pillow. What was that?! I was making out with Deidara! How did that happen?! The girl thought hopelessly. I can't get into this right now..... I need to save Sasuke.... She thought before slipping into sleep.
The next morning, Sakura woke up to Sasori Standing over her, stairing down at her like a stalker... Sakura jumped. "Jeez! Don't do that!" Sasori looked confused. "Do what?" Sakura sighed and said, "Nevermind..." She got up, pushing Sasori out so she could get some clean clothes on. As she started undressing, She noticed she was still wearing Deidara's cloak. Memories from the night before flooded her mind and she felt her face redden. Get a hold on yourself, Sakura! She told herself. After she was done getting dressed, she walked out of the tent. The rest were getting everything ready to go. "Oh, Morning Sakura!" Hidan greeted cheerfully. "Well, I'm glad you're in a better mood" Sakura smiled. "That might not be such a good thing, Hm" Deidara whispered in her ear. Sakura jumped in surprise. She hadn't heard him come over to her. "Why not? "She whispered back. "Well, I guess you could say he likes pranks, hm" Deidara smiled at her and walked off. Does he remember last night? She thought Of coarse he does! But why isn't he acting anything different? "Sakura!" The girl was snapped out of her thoughts. "Y-yes?" Itachi looked at her concerned. "I said we're ready to go.... Are you ok?"
"Yeah! Sorry, I was just thinking about something..." She explained while running to catch up. "Well, you better start paying attention. We are going to be getting close to Orochimaru's hideout soon" That means I'm getting closer to Sasuke...
