It was almost noon by the time Sakura and the others arrived at Orochimaru's hideout. "Stay hidden" Itachi ordered. "Now that we're here, What are we supposed to do?" Sakura asked quietly. "We can't do anything right now. We'll just have to wait here until something happens" As if on queue, they heard voices coming out of the hideout. "Kabuto, We'll need to change hideouts soon. We've been here to long." It was Orochimaru. He and Kabuto materialized out of the shadows of the hideout. "Yes Lord Orochimaru" Kabuto said in his polite tone while writing something down on a list of some sort. "Oh, and don't let me forget to buy some mayo when we go grocery shopping on Tuesday" Orochimaru continued. Kabuto sighed irritably. "Of coarse Lord Orochimaru..." Another figure appeared behind the two. Sakura's eyes widened when the figure walked into view. "Sasuke...." Sakura whispered. She felt Itachi Stiffen at her shoulder but couldn't take her eyes off Sasuke to look at him. "Why don't you stop talking about useless things like groceries and train me like you said." The boy asked rudely. Orochimaru just smiled at him. "Now, now, Sasuke. Be patient, I'll get to your training soon enough" Sasuke gave a tsk. He started walking away. Sakura Stared after him, unable to move. No! I can't let him get away! Sakura started to move forward but Itachi stopped her by grabbing her shoulder. "Who's there?" Sasuke ordered calmly, but fiercely. They all stiffened, hoping he wouldn't notice them but it was to late. The boy threw a kunai, just missing Sakura. She felt blood start to trickle down her cheek. Sakura wrenched out of Itachi's grasp and walked forward out of the bushes they were hidden in.
Sasuke wasn't fazed in the least by seeing Sakura. He just stared at her with an unreadable expression. "Well... Look who it is." Kabuto sneered. Sakura pulled her gaze from Sasuke and turned her gaze to Kabuto. "Could it be that you've come to save your precious Sasuke?" The boy asked sarcastically, smirking. The girl glared at him. "And what if I were?" She sneered back. "Just as repulsing as I remember" Kabuto spat. "That's enough Kabuto." Orochimaru ordered, putting his hand up. "Why don't you go check around for the Kyuubi boy and rest of their little team, Kabuto" Kabuto opened his mouth to oppose but thought better of it. He turned and left with an annoyed sigh. After he left, Sakura said, "I wouldn't bother, They didn't come." Orochimaru smiled at her, it wasn't a nice smile. "Well, We can't be to careful now can we?" Sasuke finally spoke. "She's telling the truth, I can't sense Naruto or the others anywhere." Sakura's gaze flew back to him. She couldn't get any words out. When she looked at him all she felt was a pit of sadness and longing inside. Sasuke.... She stared, paralyzed. This is how it's always been... I've always stared desperately at him, hoping he would come home while Naruto risks everything for him
The edges of Sasuke's lips twitched up into a hateful grin. "So, I guess Nothing's changed... You're still just as useless as ever." She flinched as if the words had slapped her in the face. Come on Sakura! Do something! A familiar voice sounded in her head. Bring Sasuke Home, Sakura! Sakura clenched her fists. Naruto... Thank you. She thought. Sasuke tsked and started walking away. "Sasuke!" The girl yelled. Sakura pulled a kunai and threw it at Sasuke's back. Sasuke barley blocked it with his sword. He had drawn it so fast Sakura hadn't even seen it. "I'm not the little girl I used to be..." The girl said through gritted teeth. "I'm not going to let you go this time!" She yelled as she charged toward the boy.
The sound of clanking metal filled the air as Sakura's kunai hit Sasuke's sword repeatedly. "Do you really think this will change anything, Sakura?" Sasuke asked while blocking her kunai once again. "You can't stop me from getting my revenge." Sakura jumped back, dodging Sasuke's sword as he slashed at her throat. "I'm never going to stop trying to bring you home Sasuke... Even if it kills me!" The konoichi yelled as she attacked again. This time Sasuke vanished before she reached him. He appeared behind her, just like that night Sakura had pleaded for him to stay so long ago. Sasuke leaned in to Sakura's ear. "You were one of the only two people i never wanted to hurt Sakura...." He whispered. Sakura's eyes widened and She felt tears fall down her cheeks. This is it.... The person that i care so much for is going to end it all .... She closed her eyes, braising herself for the final blow. Sasuke raised his sword and stabbed down..............
