Chapter 10

Kemi's p.o.v

Autumn I need to talk to you," I tell her. "What's up?" She asks. "I think I might have a crush on Austin," I tell her. I watch her facial expressions go from confused to shocked to happy. "Well I know if he'd hurt you Luke would kick his ass and then I would," She tells me.  We go back to my brother and hers. We started dancing. Pretty soon the principal came on and said "Now it's time to announce homecoming king and queen." Your 2015-2016 homecoming king is Josh Martian," The principal yells. "Your 2015-2016 homecoming queen is Autumn Menuey," He says. Everyone claps while Josh and her go get their crowns. "It's tradition that the queen and king share dance," The principal said.  I glare at Josh as he takes Autumn's hand and leads her to the dance floor. I watch him smirk at my brother and Austin. I see how he whisphers something into Autumn's ear and Autumn tried getting out of his hold. I knew what he was doing. I stopped Austin and Luke. "He wants you two to start a scene and get kicked out," I tell them. I see Autumn say something back to him. I see his friends laughing. But they stop. I turn around and Josh is on the ground and Autumn's running out of the school. Austin quickly runs out to find his sister. While Luke goes to Josh. "Luke," I yell. He shakes his head and starts saying to Josh. "What did you say to her you little punk?" Luke asks. "I told her I was gonna have my way with her just like her brother did to my sister," Josh said. "What did Jake do to your sister?" I ask. "He used her for sex then dumped her. I figured Autumn's gotten hot go after her like he did my sister," Josh said. Luke looks at Josh dead in eyes and said "I like Autumn a lot more then a friend if any of you give her another hard time you will dealing with me." He grabs my hand and we run out trying to find Austin and Autumn. We found them. She was crying on Austin's shoulder. She stops as soon as she sees us. "Can we go ho-ome?" She asks. Luke nods and grabs her hand and walks her to the car.

Austin's p.o.v

    I quickly text Jake and tell him we need to talk when I get home. I look into the rearview mirror and see Autumn asleep on Luke's shoulder. Luke had his arm around her shoulders hugging her into his chest. He must really like her. I've never seen him act like this. "You really like her don't you?" I ask. He looks down at my little sister and nods. "Yeah. I've liked her since Junior year," He tells me.  I smile. I look over at his sister who has a smile on her face. "Luke if you hurt my best friend in anyway I'll chop your dick off. I had to deal with her broken and fixing herself. She finally started to mend when she started doing boxing. Her mom and dad  quit caring about her. They actually left her at the hospital in a coma while they went a cruise. My mom stayed with her. And when Autumn got out and needed something my mom was there. I watched my best friend go through amnesia," Kemi told us starting to cry. I tighten my hands against the wheel. "My parents left her there by herself when she was dying?" I ask. Kemi slowly nods her head. It was quit the rest of the way to my house.   I pull into the driveway and watch Luke carry my sister into the house. "Thanks buddy," I whisper. I go to Jake's room. "We need to talk downstairs now," I tell him.  He nods and walks downstairs. "Luke will you stay with her?" I ask. He nods his head. I see my sister coming out of the bathroom in pjs. "Autumn, Luke's gonna stay with you tonight okay?" I tell her. She nods her head and lays in bed. I go downstairs where Jake and Kemi  were waiting for me. "Okay Jake I'll get to less important thing after Kemi tells you what she told me in the car," I tell him. Kemi starts talking about how our parents left Autumn in a coma to go on a cruise even though they knew she could be dying, and watching her have amnesia and trying to fix herself. Jake looks angry and upset. "Okay now to the less important. Jake.. Josh is after Autumn. He wants to get back at you for hurting his sister. Autumn smacked him, but I don't know if he's gonna quit," I tell Jake. "Actually.. Luke threatened him and his buddies. Right after you ran out Austin," Kemi tells me. "What did he say?" I asks. "I like Autumn more then a friend. If you guys give her another hard time you will have to deal with me," she tells us. "He might actually be good for her," Jake mumbles. Kemi and I smirk at my brother. "Alright I'm going to bed," Jake says climbing up the stairs. "You wanna stay the night Kem?" I ask. "Yeah. But if my brothers in your sisters room where am I staying?" She asks. "My room doll face," I tell her. She nods and goes into Autumn's room to get some clothes. I look at Autumn and Luke. They were both dead asleep and cuddling. I take my phone out and take a picture. I send it to Autumn and Luke. Kemi and I go to my room. I grab some clothes and head to the bathroom to change. When I come back Kemi is already laying in my bed. I get in on the other side and start falling asleep.
