Chapter 11

Autumn's pov

I had woken up way to early to my liking. I rolled over and grab my phone to check it. It was a message from Austin. It was a picture of Luke and I cuddling. I look over on my bed and Luke is still dead asleep. I decided I would go for run. I get dressed and head outside. I take off towards the country. I ran for 10 miles before I reached home. I go up to my room to shower. I see Luke getting up. "Morning Luke," I said shutting the bathroom door. I shower off then get dressed then head down to the kitchen. I see Austin and Kemi making breakfast. I go and sit next to Luke at the breakfast bar. "How far did ya run today?" Kemi asks. "10 miles before I headed home," I tell her. She nods.  I get up and get a glass of orange juice for Luke and I.  Austin and Kemi hand us breakfast. "So why did you guys come back?" Kemi asks. "I have a fight in a few days against Josh's brother," Luke mumbles. I tense.

Luke's pov

I felt Autumn tense beside me. I look over at her and see her face paled. "Excuse me," Autumn says getting up and walking outside. I see Kemi look emotional less. "Kemi, spill it now," I tell her. "Autumn fought Josh's brother once and he just wouldn't quit hitting
Her after the ref said no," Kemi mumbles. "What do you mean?" I ask. "She has a scar from him jumping her the day after the fight going from her ribs to stomach," Kemi tells us. Austin and I both tense. I stand up and go outside. I see Autumn sitting by pool. I grab her wrist and pin her to the ground and lift up her shirt. There k saw an ugly purple scar. I growl. "Luke?" She asks looking up at me. I look at her in the eyes and let a tear slip out of my eyes. She sits up and rubs it away. "Luke I'm fine," She says softly. I pull her into my arms and hug her close. I will not let anyone hurt her.
