A New Beginning: Alternate Ending To Allegiant

Chapter 27

Angela POV

"I want to have sex." I say. God why did I decide to do this? Yes, he's very attractive but I'm only doing this for Jeanine. My sister. Her death is unforgivable so in order to have vengeance I have to do what ever it takes to kill Tris. Luckily I have my brother, Jared, helping me.

Of course Four gives in, he thinks I'm Tris. Little does he know that Tris is gone, hidden.

"Tris what are you doing? This isn't you."

"Of course it's me. Why would you even think that?" I say.

"Look not tonight alright? You seem off."

"Okay." I need to think of a way to leave without him questioning it.

"Hey F-Tobias?"

"What?"

" I just remembered that Christina wanted to hang out for a little so I'm going to go over." I lie.

"Okay I guess."

I get my phone and leave. I text Jared.

Me: is she tied up?

Jared: yes. She's a fighter so it took awhile. Did you get any hair samples from Four?

Me: No. I tried but he pushed me away so I'm going to go to Tris and have a talk.

Jared: Alright, try not to be seen.

Me: obviously.

I look up and I see Peter. Shit.

"Tris? What are you doing walking out here?"

"I could ask you the same thing." I retort.

"I'm coming from my shift. Now what's your excuse?"

"I'm going to Christina's." I say.

"Really? Funny because you're going the wrong direction if you're trying to get to Christina's."

I look behind me and realize he's right.

"So what are you doing Tris?"

"Why do you care? Just leave me alone and let me be!" I say and walk away fast walking towards the train.

I hop on the train and look out for my spot to jump. I find it ironic that we have everything set up in Abnegation. Where Tris' parents were.

I go towards the back row of houses and find the one house that has it's lights on. As I approach closer I hear grunting. I start to speed walk into the house and I see Tris cutting the rope from her wrist and Jared on the floor.

"Are you fucking kidding Jared?" I say frustrated.

"Sorry if I turned my back for a minute." He says getting up.

I start towards Tris and punch her across the face, the knife sliding across the floor. I tie her again and duct tape her.

"Damn, you did a really good job looking exactly like her."

"It wasn't that hard really. Especially with our duplication machine. I mean it's design to literally make a face exactly like hers."

"Are you planning to do the same with Four?"  Jared says.

"Of course. We need to make this look like they left on their own not a kidnapping."

"Alright now that we got that over with." I sigh.

I squat in front of her, leveling face to face.

"Let's begin."

Tobias POV

Now that "Tris" is gone I go back to the club from that night to see if anyone might have seen anything wrong. Walking to the club I see the same people in the club that were there when Tris and I were. I ask the security guard in front of the restrooms,

"Excuse me sir?" I say.

"can I help you?" he says monotoned.

"My wife and I-" Tris and I haven't even gotten married yet. Even though we haven't I don't correct myself. " came by about an hour ago and she said she left something in the restroom can I take a look?"

He glares down at me. "Just a minute."

He walks in the restroom," Anyone in here?"

No response.

"Make it quick." He spits.

I rush into the restroom and look on the sinks, the stalls anywhere to look for something. I walk into the last, big, stall. I find the necklace I gave her ,on one of our firsts dates, hanging on the hook to put your coats on the stall door. I grab some pieces on tissue and wrap the necklace in it and shove it in my back pocket. I start to leave the restroom and say to the security guard," Way to keep a look out." and give him the most fake smile.

"Okay." He says in a more question tone than statement.

I leave the club and take the train to Dauntless head quarters to scan the necklace for any finger prints.
Walking inside the compound flushes me with memories. From when I first arrived my self, till Tris. I walk by the chasm and nothing has changed. I walk up the stairs to the 4th floor, where all the machines are. I place the necklace on the cold and clear surface on the machine to scan it. I press the button to start the process but it won't budge. I check to see if it is plugged in, if it has everything in tact and try again. Nothing.

"Damn it!" I groan and kick the machine. I run my hands through my hair, frustrated.

"If you want a machine that works, you'll have to go to Abnegation."

I turn around to see an unfamiliar face.

"Who are you?" I state, sternly.

"I can ask you the same." There is an intense silence after those words leave his mouth. " I'm one of the night guards." He says.

"why would I need to go to Abnegation?"

"They currently have working machines there for the time being."

I look him up and down to see if he'll try anything. I would normally disregard his information but I am desperate to find out if Tris is really Tris.

Once I arrive to Abnegation my chest aches for Tris. I remember the day Erudite attacked all these innocent people. I shake this horrid feeling and go the the head quarters. As I walk I hear talking. No, yelling. I start to walk around the houses looking for any lights on or, anything really. I turn the corner and see Tris' old house. With the lights on.

I walk to the door and open it quickly. Luckily I have a knife in my back pocket. I find two people, "Tris" holding a gun towards Tris and another starting up a machine. Turning their heads towards me, "Tris" puts her fun down, hanging in her hand by her side.

"Why hello Tobias." she says.

"My name is Four." I look towards Tris and see the fear in her eyes.

"Who are you?!" I yell.

And her fake smile turns into a face full of anger.
