A New Begining

Prologue : Uriah woke up from his coma. He did not die. An Erudite found medication to help his brain function properly. He is fine now.

Alternate Ending to Allegiant:

Chapter one

The serum has an agonizing smell. I suppose that's why they call it a death serum. I cough and splutter because of the smell of the serum tastes like smoke and spice. I crumple to my knees. My body feels so week. I can barely move.

My body feels as if now my blood is replaced with molasses and my bones lead. A feeling rushes through my body. Sleep. I then realize that I haven't had much sleep in the past few days. The only day I truly had rest was with Tobias. I remember the night I spent with Tobias.

I wanted to be a part of him. I wanted to leave everything behind and runaway with him. Just the two of us. I remember when I was tired of being me. Being Tris. I realize now that I want to live. I need to live. I don't want to die. I lay on my side and my wounded arm presses to the cold ground. I slowly.. Start to drift...

I wonder what it would be like to let my self go. I wonder what I would see and where would go..

No. I want to live. I want the life I had. Before entering the serum. I want a life with Tobias. With Christina and with everyone. All of my friends. I need to fight this. I will fight this.

The serum is clinging to my skin like oil but the darkness recedes. I push my hands to the ground to give my body support to stand up. My body feels so heavy. Finally, I stand up and push through the double doors. I made it. I made it there. Something catches my attention. I'm not alone.

"Don't move," David. Raising his gun,"Hello Tris."

I just stare. I don't know what to do or say.

"So tell me," he leans back in his wheel chair,"How did you do it? How did you inoculate yourself?"

'What do you mean?' I say to myself. It wasn't the easiest thing in the world. I'm surprised I did it.

"I didn't..", I say trying to sound stern, but it croaked.

"Don't play dumb with me!", he shouts. "I'm the only one in this compound that possesses that substance."

I choose not to respond. I just stare. He looks old. Older than he really is.He has bags under his eyes and wrinkles are noticeable , given the space between us.

"I suppose it no longer matters," he says breaking the silence," We are here now, I can easily just shoot you now."

"Why? What are you even doing here?" I say sternly. Just moving my lips I feel heavy. As if the feeling of the serum is still on me even though I survived. I then become aware that I left my gun in the hall. I figured I really didn't need it since I thought I wouldn't make it this far.

"I knew something was going on. I've seen you going around about your genetically pure bullshit. You think I wouldn't notice ? Cara made a mistake. She got caught try to manipulate the lights. Though, before we could get anything out of her , she knocked herself out. I guess you could say that's smart of her."

He continues to speak but behind him I notice something. The door starts to open slowly and quietly . I'm not sure who'll I'll see. There in the door way Tobias stands. We make eye contact but I try not to make it noticeable that someone's behind David so I look at and look at David.

"So you came alone", I say sternly,"big mistake ,don't you think? "
