FairyTail: Soulmate Countdown

Chapter 1

Today is the day. The day, I get the watch. The watch, that tells me when I'm going to meet my soulmate. I feel nervous and excited at the same time.

I play with my food, occasionally eating small pieces of the pancakes, I had for breakfast. "Princess, Do you want me to attach your watch tomorrow instead? You don't look well." Virgo, one of my maids, asks me.

"No, no. I'm fine." I say to Virgo. I stuff my mouth with pancakes, "Swee?" I look at Virgo while chewing my mouthful of pancakes.

Virgo shook her head, "Princess, talking with your mouthful is very unlady like." She corrects me, "Mr. Jude will be very disappointed, since you're finally getting your watch." She adds.

"Since when does he care?" I spat to Virgo, I crossed my arms infront of my chest. My blood boils just hearing his name.

My Dad, Jude Heartfillia, was a good man. Take note, was. Since Mom died, he was so focused on his work he never made time for me anymore. Not a worthy, parent. In my eyes, anyways.

"I don't get why you still have hard feelings for him.." I hear Virgo mumble as she curtsies before she leaves, to do her business.

"Don't have to curtsy, Virgo!" I shout at her, as she leaves.

I sigh. I feel bad for being grumpy around her. After what she's done to me, I still treat her badly. I didn't mean to, but she keeps mentioning my Dad. She tries putting me and him back together. I know she never got to see her Mom or Dad, that's why she wants to atleast see me get along with Dad.

I grab my plate and place it in the sink. I grab my backpack and sling it over my shoulder. "Virgo, I'll be going already! Say goodbye to Ashley for me!" I shout, remembering my younger sibling, Ashley. I turn and left the mansion. I'll be going to Natsu's house now, I usually walk with him to school, since it's near here and we're bestfriends anyways.

"Princess, wait!" I look back, to see Virgo running up to me. She stops and catches her breath, she brings up her two hands revealing the soulmate watch. "You almost forgot to attach this!" She says, with heavy breaths.

I completely forgot about that! I thank Virgo profusely as she attaches the watch to my right wrist. Virgo quickly left after she attached my watch. I made a mental note to myself to do something sweet to Virgo, for once. I check the watch on how much days I have left, before I see my soulmate.

182 days, 2 hours, 7 minutes, 7 seconds

I try calculating how many months in my brain. 6 months. I have 6 months then my life changes. I feel relieved that I have so much time.

When I finally see a beige painted house. I run up to it and knock the door, many times. I just recently checked the time and it was about, 7:15. I was stuck thinking about my watch for too long, I lost track of time! Natsu and I still has to drop off Wendy, Natsu's younger sister, and that takes up 15 minutes. Then we both have another 15 minutes to reach school and get ready for class.

The door creaked open, and I saw a spike of salmon hair in view. I push the door open and I shout, not bothering that Natsu was right beside me, "Natsu! Quick! Grab Wendy! We'll be late for class!"

"Okay, okay, Luce. Calm down. I'll get her down here." Natsu says, "Not your fault, you took so long coming here..." I hear him mumble.

"What did I just hear?!" I shout at him, again, I glare at Natsu.

"Nuthin', Nuthin'" He says quickly, as Wendy appears right behind him. Wendy runs up to me and gives me a tight hug.

"Onee-san! You're finally here!" Wendy squeezed the life out of me. I couldn't breathe! This girl is seriously a innocent killer.

"Hey~ Wendy!" I manage to say, I somehow sounded perfectly fine. Wendy hugged me tighter, burying her head in my uniform.

I give Natsu a 'help me' look. Natsu just smirked and shrugged. Oh, he's going to pay when I finally get out of Wendy's grasp.

"Wendy? Could you get off me now?" I ask the cute bluenette girl. Wendy shook her head and hugs me tighter. "Onee-san is late! This is her punishment!" Wendy states, with a baby voice.

"But we'll be late for school!" I whine. Wendy just shook her and says, "That is no excuse!"

Good for her, she doesn't mind getting late for class. I turn to Natsu, "Natsu! Please, help me get Wendy off me!" I plead, he just shook his head.

"No can do, Luce! I don't mind to get late for class anyways." Natsu smirks at me and he walks away to the kitchen, leaving me with Wendy.

"You traitor!" I shout Natsu. I turn back at Wendy, "Wendy! Gomen'nasai! Now can we go?" I ask Wendy.

She still shakes her head, "That can't cover for being late." She hugs me tighter than ever.

I start thinking on how I could get out of Wendy's hug attack. I thought popped up in my mind, second later. I smirk and say to Wendy, "Wendy~" I say teasingly, "How 'bout Romeo~" I tease in a sing-song voice. I knew Wendy had a crush on a boy named, Romeo Conbolt.

Wendy loosens the hug and I take the opportunity to tickle her sides. Wendy rolls to the ground with fits of laughter. I smile evilly I continue tickling her side.

"Onee-san! I surrender! Stop!" Wendy raises her hands, showing she surrenders. I lift my fingers away from her sides and I smile sweetly at Wendy.

"Come on, Wendy. Let's go to school! I have something to show you on the way there." I say to her. Wendy jumps out of the ground, curiousity evident in her eyes. She nods at me and left to grab Natsu. He appeared, seconds later with Wendy, chuckling.

Natsu hugs me, unexpectedly. I was shocked for a second before I hugged him back, "Heard what you did to Wendy, don't do anything worse than what you to did to her for my punishment, or I'll be scared for life." He jokes.

"We'll just have to wait and see," I release the hug and smile, "Baka." I add.

Natsu turns to me, "Hey! What did ya call me?"

I grab Wendy and ran out of the apartment, "Wendy! Make a run for it!" I say.

"Hey! Why do I have to be part of this?!" She groans but still tags along with me. "But it's true though, Natsu-nii is a baka. I just hope he brings his and my bags and locks the apartment before he leaves." Wendy mumbles.

"I heard that Wendy! I'll tell Natsu!" I tease.

Oh, how I'm going to miss these moments with them.
