Chapter 5: The Note

JACK'S P.O.V

I woke up really happy to go to school. I know weird right?, but today phase one of my plan to tell Kim I like her starts. I got a few of my friends to help me with the plan. I shot out of my bed, got ready, ate breakfast, and went to school. When I got to my locker, I saw Kim already at hers.(our lockers are right next to each other)

"Hey, Kim" I said with a huge smile plastered on my face.

"Hey, Jack, why are you smiling?" Kim asked with a smile plastered on her face also.

"I could ask you the same thing" I replied.

KIM'S P.O.V

I woke up happy but I don't know why. I got ready, ate breakfast, and went to school. I went to get my books, and when I opened my locker something fell out. I picked it up and looked at it. It was a love letter. It read,

Dear Kim,

You have known me for a long time now and my feelings have grown for you. As much as I would like to like to tell you who I am right now I would also like to wait it out and see if you can figure out who I am. I just couldn't keep my feelings in any longer, I wanted to let you know, I'm in love with you.

Love, Your Secret Admirer

I couldn't help but smile. Yes I have had a few boyfriends but none of them told me they loved me. Yes I was I was happy about the fact that I have a secret admirer, but I was also upset because I always wanted Jack to be the guy to tell me, he loves me.

"Hey, Kim" Jack said shaking me out of my thoughts. I turned around to see a huge smile plastered on his face.

"Hey, Jack, why are you smiling?" I asked, not even realizing I was smiling also.

"I could as me you the same thing" Jack replied.

"So why are you so happy?" I asked.

"Its nothing" He replied. He was lying to me, AGAIN.

"Really?" I said getting a little louder. To be honest I was angry. I love Jack, but he can be a real pain sometimes.

"What?" Jack asked innocently. I really shouldn't be mad about this but I am because he's been lying a lot lately.

"Your lying to me.......again" I practically yelled,"we're supposed to be best friends, and tell each other everything" I said on the verge of tears.

"Kim-" Jack started but was cut off by the bell echoing through the halls.

"Save it it Jack, I've got to get to class" I slammed my locker shut and started off for class. I am soooooooooooo glad Jack is not in my next class, seeing as homeroom ended while we were talking in the hall. It a good thing your not required to be in homeroom, it's preferred, but not required. I walked into the classroom and sat next to Julie. I guess she saw both the happiness on my face and the sadness in my eyes, because right when I sat down she fired me with,

"So, what's the good news first?" Julie asked.

"Well........I found a love note in my locker this morning" I replied. I was hesitant to tell her at first, but decided to tell her because we have been friends for a while now. I know I can trust her.

"Who was it from?" Julie asked excitedly.

"I don't know, it said 'love, your secret admirer' and it was typed so I couldn't narrow it down by the handwriting" I replied.

"Oh......wait, I have the perfect idea to find out who your 'secret admirer' is" Julie said putting air quotes around 'secret admirer'.

"Great" I said nearly jumping out of my chair"what's the plan?"

"First you have to tell why you were upset earlier" Julie replied.

I sighed deeply. Julie had just brought back the pain, I can't beleive my best friend and crush couldn't tell me why he was HAPPY, like WTF.

"Jack keeps lying to me about stuff that shouldn't even matter. I feel like he's keeping a big secret from me" I said on the verge of crying, again. Jack truly is the only person that can make me cry.

"Oh......are you okay?" Julie asked. All the girls( Grace, Kelsey, Julie, and Jocelyn) know I have a crush on Jack, but I made them all promise not to tell anyone.

"Yeah......I'm gonna find out what he's hiding from me one way or another, but I don't want to talk to him right now. Anyway, what's your plan to find out who my secret admirer is?" I asked trying to get off the topic of Jack.

"Well, I- suddenly, our teacher Mr. Warneka walked in and told everyone to take their seats.

"I'll tell you later" Julie whispered, before turning and writing down everything Mr. Warneka wrote on the board. I spent most of class thinking about who could have written the note. Class went by fast, I was relieved to hear the bell because don't get me wrong, Mr. Warnek is a cool teacher but his class is really boring. I met up with Julie outside the classroom.

"So, what's your plan?" I asked eagerly as we headed to the bathroom so that know could hear us, just incase.

"So. I think we should get hear 20 minutes early tomorrow and watch you locker to see if we catch anyone putting anything into it" Julie replied. Wow now I feel stupid, it doesn't take a genius to figure out a plan like that.

"That's a great idea" I said super excited "how about we meet at the garbage can closest to my locker tomorrow?" Julie just nodded. The rest of the day went by pretty fast. I went to karate and had trouble ignoring Jack but I managed. I somehow found my way home and went to sleep.

I woke up early, got ready, and went to the school. I found Julie right where we had planned to meet.

"Hey, Julie" I whispered.

"Hey, Kim" She whispered back.

We waited for about ten minutes until we finally saw someone slip a card into my locker. I was super surprised by who it was though.

"Kim, DID YOU SEE WHO THAT WAS " Julie asked shaking me.

"Yes, I can't beleive that.............

I JUST WANT TO APPOLOGIZE IN ADVANCE. I MAY BE A LITTLE LATE ON MY UPDATES BUT I WILL TRY TO UPDAT EVERY TUSEDAY, AND FRIDAY BUT I CAN'T PROMISE ANYTHING BECAUSE MY BAND IS CLOSE TO GETTING A RECORD DAEL SO I HAVE TO FOCCUSE ON MY MUSIC FIRST AND MY STORY SECOND. SO I APPOLOGIZE IF I'M NOT UPDATING FOR A WHILE.
