Chapter 4

When I woke the next morning my dad was standing above me.

"Time to get up Kiddo, we're heading to the Greek camp!"

"Ugh..." I groaned.

"Come on Sil!" He said, his eyes pleading with me to get up.

"Fine!"I snapped and I got up. Dad did a happy dance around my room.

"Dad!" He stopped.

"What?"

"I need to change..." I said as I pointed towards my open door.

"Oh... right." He left. I closed the door and got ready for the day. I chose a Camp Jupiter t-shirt, with jeans and black combat boots. I strapped my dagger on my leg, in its sheath. I put on my owl necklace and my trident earrings on. I walked out to see my dad rushing around the house. Mom ways rolling her eyes and scolding him.

"Perseus Jackson calm down this minute!" She exclaimed with a glare. Dad stopped. Then he walked over to her and kissed her.

"Dad!" I exclaimed. "I thought I asked you not to do that in front of me!" He turned and zipped past me, into my room. He came out with my bags.

"Come on Sil! Whatcha waiting for?" He asked. Then he raced out the door.

"Oh you're on, Dad." I said under my breath as I quickly followed in pursuit. I followed him into the Senate House. Why were we going there? Weren't we going out of New Rome? If so why were we going to the Senate House?

"Dad?" I asked. He stopped and turned to face me.

"What is it Sil?"

"Why are we going to the Senate House instead of the car garage?"

"This is where the portal is." He stated.

"What portal?" I wondered aloud.

"You'll see." And he dragged me, and my bags, further into the Senate House, until we were behind the stage. He pressed his hand on a stone in the wall. The wall parted and there was a giant portal. It swirled and hissed. Like Medusa's Hair.

"Go on through it." Dad encouraged. He handed me my bags, and I closed my eyes. I took a deep breath... And stepped through. 

A/N- Turns out I'm updating today instead of tomorrow. I will not be able to update for the next two weeks, so I will update next year in the first week of January. Expect at least two updates that week. Maybe three. So yeah! Keep on being awesome!
