(Silena's PoV again)

My eyes fluttered open to see my parents standing above me.

"Mom? Dad?" I asked weakly.

"Yes Sil?" Dad said. Mom quickly turned and ran to the trash can.

"What happened?"

"We don't exactly know. You'd have to ask that boy, Hunter." I heard some unpleasant noises coming from mom. She finally stopped and came back over to where I was laying.

"Are you okay mom?" I asked, and she gave me a thumbs up.

"Just fine Silena, don't worry about it."

"How long have I been out?"

"9 days." Thalia said, coming into the room. I tried to sit up, but couldn't. Man how I hate being vulnerable and worthless.

"Sil..."

"Yes dad?"

"I need to tell you something. Could you leave for a few minutes Thalia?"

"Fine Kelp Head. But only because you're the best cousin I've ever had." Thalia left.

Dad turned to me. Mom started turning green in the face.

"I'm going to go find Will Solstace." She said, bolting out of the room.

"So..." Dad said. "I need to tell you something concerning your mom..."

"She's pregnant?"

"So lately your mom has been super sick and-" he continued, ignoring me.

"She's pregnant."

"-we thought that you should be the first to find out-"

"Mom is pregnant."

"-that your mother, is, in fact..."

"Pregnant."

"Pregnant!"

"Dad. I kept saying that. Were you listening to me?"

"Yeah, but it took me like 10 days to write that."

"Dad, It only took you 10 minutes." I said and he sighed in defeat.

"You win." By now I had eaten ambrosia and was standing, I grabbed a cup of nectar and took a sip of it. Then I saw Hunter and Thalia peeking around the door. I started laughing and Hunter joined in. Dad turned. He saw Thalia's face, it was a priceless mix of: Pride, happiness, excitement, and worry. There was a scream from down the hall and both dad and Thalia bolted towards it. I sat back down in my cot.

"So..." Hunter said, sitting in a chair next to me. "How do you feel?"

"Like I want to decapitate the training dummies just to prove to everyone I'm not a 'Damsel in Distress'."

"I probably don't get what you mean but I'm going to pretend I do anyways." Hunter said, and I laughed at him. He smirked.

"So..."

"Yeah." We sat there awkwardly. "You excited for a sibling?"

"Yeah, I guess, it just I don't want them to have the life I have but they are already doomed to it. But I want a sibling!"

"Now I can say I understand what you mean. I want a younger sister. What do you want?"

"A brother. If mom has another girl she might just cry herself to death. My mom is strong, but it's been a hard life and she doesn't want to doom another girl to go through what she did. She already feels bad that I have a horrid life outside of camp."

"I'm sorry."

"It's okay. It's not your fault."

"I just feel that as your... Friend... That I should be there to help you. Where do you go to school?"

"I go to Valleyville Academy near Beverly Hills. We're the Panthers. Anyways... Thanks for being so concerned about my well being. It's really sweet of you." I smiled at him. Everything was going to be fine, or so I thought. That's when Rachel ran in.
