AN: Alright so I don't know if this even will get accepted or whatever but I asked if it could be any fandom and they said no, but I wrote this about Ryan because I had an idea after reading the contest thing for this, but they said the story can be inspired by characters, and as long as it's not straight up fanfiction, I don't think I really did that, If I did that oh well, I can always take the tags off, but I had fun writing it, that's all the matters right? So this is my first writing challenge, so I hope I did well :) Oh and I made up the old Hawaiian wives tale thing. So here is the rules for the contest. Mine is about Things that go thumpity-thump-thump in the night. My story has 2,944 words, so I didn't go pass 3,000 mark.
Holiday of Horrors Contest
The winter holiday season is upon us, and while there is a lot of merriment to look forward to, there are also countless ways things could go horribly wrong. As the nights get colder and longer, and the days start to get darker, we're looking for a little fear to go with our festivities. Have ever actually listened to a Christmas carol? Creepy doesn't even begin to cover their petrifying potential. So, this month we're kicking off a writing contest for some sinister stories based on the winter season. Things to Consider

• Make sure your work is original. Do not copy another writer's work.
Submission
To participate, post your entry from your Wattpad profile as a NEW story and tag your submission with "holidayhorror" and " wattpadfright." The deadline for submissions is December 22nd at 11:59 EST.

Dates & Judges
The contest will run for three weeks, starting today, Tuesday December 1st and ending Thursday December 22nd at 11:59 EST. The Wattpad Team will choose ten (10) winners, and we will announce them on December 23rd. To celebrate our favourite entries, the winners of the Holiday Horror Contest will receive a shoutout from the Fright profile and their stories added to a new reading list.
