Alone in my room with no one to hold
The days were long and the nights were cold
But you came into my life and whisked my fears away
And I believed you would never leave me astray
Hazel eyes full of love and hope
A day with you, I never would mope
Your hair was a brown as coffee
As sweet and fall leaves and toffees
Your laugh lit up a city in the dark
You were the light inside of my heart
I basked in your love, your light, your laugh
You gave me peace that I could never give back
To my heart
Only you held the key
All those perfect days
Now they feel like a dream
All those days when my blue eyes fill with tears
You gave me strength throughout the years
Your embrace surrounded me like tsunami
Over taking, all powerful, fulfilling.
You helped me shine, just like you
You were as bright as a star, you pulled me through
But maybe your love just wasn't enough
Because I was still stuck in this whole that I dug
The world darker
My heart heavier
I felt weak
It was getting blacker
You seemed to disappear
Your embrace was gone
Now I'm left here
Empty and alone
Where did you go
Why did you leave

Was I going crazy
The world seems to drift
