Chapter 18

Maddison POV
I woke up from my dream by a door opening. I heard a males voice talking.
"When is she going to wake up?" He sounded worried. Wait a mintue...theres a dude in my room. Why?
"We dont really know, she can wake up today, tomorrow, next year, we really dont know. Im sorry, but there is some good news. Shes getting off the mask tomorrow " a voice spoke then closing the door.
"Im so sorry that this happened to you Maddison. I should've known that the Eastern gang was going to try to pull something like they did. This is all my fault, i should've been there for you at the party. You gotta wake up though babygirl, your mom misses you, alex misses you, i miss you" he spoke gentle and then i heard his footsteps to my left. What did he mean by Eastern gang? Is he in a gang? Oh my freakin god is he gonna murder me? My heart began to race. I guess he noticed cause he then shouted for the nurse.
"This is a good, shes showing signs of her coming back" the nurse said. I could hear the smile in her voice.Why cant i just wake up already?
"Is she ok?" A new male voice entered my room.
"Yea shes fine, her heart rate was just speeding up. The nurse said that its a good thing" voice 1 explained.
"Oh ok, how long have you been here?" Voice 2 asked. I could feel some tension in the air . Hopefully nothing goes down, i mean i've been asleep for a long time and i would love to see a fight.
"Not long, i just got here a few minutes ago. Why are you here? Shouldn't you be at school?" Voice 1 asked.
"Obviously for Maddison, and i could say the same for you" the second voice seemed kinda familiar, but i couldnt put my finger on it on why i know it.
"Remember who your speaking to Alex, just because your Maddisons best friend doesnt mean i won't kick your ass" the voice replied angrily. Well damn boy calm your balls. 2 words, anger management.
"How bout you remember who your speaking to, like you said im Maddisons best friend, so how would it look if she wakes up and finds me beaten up amd then finds out that your the reason i look that way?" There was silence.
"Thought so" he continued.
"The nurse says that the doctor will take Maddison off the oxygen mask tomorrow. Maddison seems stable so" voice 1 seemed to be on my left while voice 2 was on my right.
"Thats good. God i miss her" voice 2 whispered.
"Yea, i think everyone does"
"What are we gonna say to her when she wakes up?" The question seemed weird. Why did it matter on what they would say to me?
The next day
After the voices left the doctor had came in and took the mask off. It felt weird at first but then everything went normal. It sucks not knowing what the day is or even time. I noticed that when i try to remember what had happened before i got into the hospital, i couldnt remember anything. But i did have some dreams about Alex last night, which was weird, cause it was my first dream of memories.Hopefully hes hot. I mentally laughed. Anyways the first part of the dream was when were about 10 and we were at a playground playing tag with these other kids. There was a girl and then twins. Then my dream vanished and another dream came in. It was just me and him sitting on a couch watching the minion movie. Thats when i woke up. I remembered who he was. Who was the other voice though?
This is all to much. I heard the door open and in came voices. I recognized my moms and Alex's voice in the group but there was the other voice that was here yesterday.
"Shes starting to look like her old self again, without the mask" my mother spoke.
"I cant wait until she wakes up" alex whispered walking my way.
I had enough of this, i need to wake up. I tried to open my eyes but failed. I tried again and then i did it. I saw the ceiling lights above me. I squinted, god why is it so bright in here. It all gave me a headache.
"Guys i think shes waking up, someone get the doctor" alex shouted. Dude chill out.
I opened them again, but i opened them more to the point where i felt my eyes dilated. I looked around, and came face to face with a teenage boy, and let me tell you this, he was hot.
"Um hello" my voice was really raspy.
"Oh my god Maddison, i missed you so much" he screamed and jumped on me. Wrapping his arms around me, he cried. This hot boy on top of me was crying, and i just laid there.
"Um can i get water" i asked
The boy by the door was frozen. He then walked out and then brought back a water bottle. I desperately drank from it, feeling the cold water go through my dried bones felt so good. I drank the whole bottle and then gave it back to him.
"Thanks" i smiled. He smiled back and threw the bottle in the garbage.
"Who are you?" I asked the boy on me. He looked up shocked.
"Im Alex" he looked at me shocked. I smiled. So he was my best friend.
"Oh thank god. I was hoping my best friend was hot." I laughed. Oops, wasn't supposed to say that. Oh well. I turned to the other dude.
"And you are...?" I asked. He just sat there, stunned.
"You dont remember me?" He asked.
I shook my head no, slightly confused. Then my mom and the doctor walked in. My mom screamed and tackled me in a hug. Bro my head hirts so bad.
"Oh my baby" she cried.
"She has amnesia" the boy told the doctor.
Oh so thats whats wrong with me.
"I also have a headache and im hungry" i spoke. Everyone turned to me and smiled.
